Django Reinhardt

Recommended Posts

I spend so much time thinking about trading that sometimes my personal life suffers. I happened to stumble across this album while listening to an NPR broadcast. I heard one cut from the album and ordered from Amazon within minutes. I'm always behind the times (it seems)... if you listen to stuff like this... possibly you are are behind the times... so be it.

If you love the music of Django Reinhardt this is a tribute album that will find favor. I've played it several times... wonderful... what a nice tribute to a master:

"Frank Vignola... 100 years of Django Reinhardt"

I first listened to Django about 30 years ago. Did the piece also mention that he only had 3 fingers on his left ( fret ) hand?

It did not make mention of that... the gypsy guitarist... his entire story is interesting. The programming was jazz music that aires nightly in my area. I heard a cut from the Frank Vignola album, and had to have it. I had not come across a tribute album before (there may be others)... just thought I would share.
