Multicharts and Equis/Rueters EOD Data and No Hair Left !!!

Recommended Posts

HI , please please please can someone help me get this combination up and running.

My idea of how it works was I set up the Equis downloader, this downloads EOD data for the symbol list to a folder I specify.

In multicharts I add these symbols and import the data from this folder then when I open a chart it grabs the data from the folder ?? does this sound right. OK well firstly I cannot get any data , The downloader requests the data then i get recieving data but all symbols are unknown.

If i try to open the vendor options in the downloader ( heard i may have to change the port) it flashes on then off very quickly. Also heard it may be the symbols im using, I have paid for european only.

question 2 , in quotemanager i try and point data feed, metastock to a folder i have created in the metastock folder called european. It will not let me add this, only the sample folder will add ??

If anyone can help I would be most gratefull , or if you can suggest another way of doing it I would be very very happy. I just want to be able to have good clean data to use developing strategies, I am in Afghanistan for another 4 months , I dont want to pay a fortune for data to develop with, my 30 day multichart trial expires next week so I am going to have to purchase that as well.

Many thanks and sorry its a long post.
