market just getting 'stoopid' here guys... want to close out the quarter with a bang perhaps? :D

Not sure, but thinking 11.75-12.25 is a juicy target for the bulls. Was watching for a little reaction at 3.25 there(78.6% ;)) and it did pause. If the 2.25-1.75 area doesn't hold, a deeper rotation to at least 1400 might play out. We'll have to see.:cinema:

edit:perhaps 00.25/00.50 would be more like it(although what's a tick between friends when it come in at 1400.00?)

/i took a 2/3 scale there because it was "high probability" now we have to see if we will rotate down - a possibility or continue up...I have no clue except I have a free trade to find out... One of the things I look for when I put my line out is either where the obstacles are or better where are the stops... since it was always "my stop" getting taken I learned to think from the other side..whhere will their stops get taken...that is where I shoot to lay off some risk and try to get reick neutral for a trade like I am now.. My next possible target 1402.75, more stops, then there is HOD & 1408.50, etc... I scale more aggressively so I will be out of bullets before the 1408 but if I see structure going up and Delta supporting it then I would take continuation trades from the long side but right now this is a "counter-trend" trade in the daytime frame... Interesting..The Daily Trend is UP, the Interday trend is down and we have to determine who will ultimately control it today...

I am clueless... :helloooo:

Edit: My technicals have caught up with my position so I am going to spread out m,y last 1/3 and shoot for HOD& 1408.00 no clue...my strength is "I know I don't know" with all due respect to my "conscious incompetent."

Tom - I have 2 contracts left to ride to that magical 1408!!! :)

Where did you get long?

A little late, but I jumped in at 98.25. Scaled at 1403 and just waiting to see what the remaining 2 contracts will get me. Happy with my day so far...

Good for you..I am not happy with my performance today... my "incompetent" showed up :crap:

I got out of Sync with it and took 3 shorts and net minus on the three then went long and got plowed on that one... I realized the short was the right trade - so I stood back and said let's look at you downside objectives...I saw the 1395.25 as a key number so when we tested it..I said..well the short train left without me so let's take the long...

If I come out plus for the day it will be a good day for me... made some bad mistakes... not trade direction but trade management... when that happens it can take a potentially good day & turn it into dung... but I am back to green and if I keep my wits about me it will turn out ok...

I dislike watching this instead of participating, but my numbers have not come into play today (we got 1395.75, my buy number was 94s) ...it turned at the 50%, which I usually pay attention to, but I was not convinced enough in this case to buy it.

EDIT: I have sold here at 03. That was a swift rejection of 04 when it was touched. I will not give this much room to work.

Brain Gas: If we do rotate, assuming the upside remains viable... probable but  where might we rotate to get late longs? While we might not rotate the easy stops will be at apx 1401.50 ish the bottom of the 10:30cst bar, why it is the closest Swing Low and many will place their stop there... Of course if the market is strong we might not rotate there... one of the mighty unknowns... :2c: Keeping in mind the 1400.25 number as posted before and the mid-point..

I know the feeling all too well...:) I was thinking that if we kept going towards the 96 level, then it would turn into a negative day, but it hung around the 97 level and started creeping back up. That's when I jumped on.

My thinking for the rest of the day includes Josh and N's ideas about finishing the week on a high note, so I have a bullish-bias...but then again, all it takes is one crisis event to toss all of that out the window...ACH (is that trademarked by Josh?)

BTW: If my posts a clutter and they do not help with my dribble then I will just keep it down...

I am going to stalk a continuation set up based on my previous view on rotation BUT I will not take it if there is conflict with my other tools...

Will catch up later...

Just reversed to long at 03.50, let's see if I'll get whipped around here. I have a good reason (in my mind!) for reversing so I'm okay with it either way.

Yes I have the TM, but it was N who originally used that phrase a lot in it's full form, "anything can happen," or something similar, so he can share royalties from its use 50/50 with me.

Still hanging in, stop 02.50, changing my targets to 07.25 and 10.50

I am still crocheting... "waiting" for a rotation though I was itching to buy it @ 3.50... Since I still am long from below I am not pressed to add...as menioned if we rotate I will be looking at it but since we aren't there is a potential it won't... but I always prefer to see the toilet flushed even if ony a few points... so I know that weak hands are out... just me... otherwise my stop has to be outside that area to be safe... :2c:

Stop is BE (03.50)

I may consider half at 06.00, will just see -- risk free at this point so I can afford to let it work.If I'm out BE, then I am.. if I get something, then it will be a nice feeling going into the weekend... after all, isn't the point of all of this to feel good?

"Feelings" - you mean "emotions" ? YOu should visit N's new thread on emotions and throw your 2ct in there... :roll eyes:

I am waiting on this thing... don't know how they can leave the 1408.00 up there... Aside from your stop..I am still "hoping" for a rotation but I would be suprised if it happens given that there haven't been any for quite a while... :missy:

Yes -- even if trading itself were emotionless, what is the point of all of this, if not to feel happy? Or make money, which leads to experiences where we feel happy? Or grow ourselves, for satisfaction and, yes, happiness..

It looks as though it will simply grind up, or just come back down and not make higher highs. I don't see a rotation to 02 leading to higher highs, for example. This is meant to be chased up. When there are no rotations, it motivates buying higher, which leads to even less likelihood of deeper rotations.

Agree with that...it really depends how long this will take to get going on the upside... & if they flush it ... Obviously if it doesn't get going it will break as longs bail... I'm not saying it will... If for some reason we don't get going - then I would expect a flush and then a rally to potential targets above after the cash close...subject to what happens here , of course..that is just one scenario... Personlly I'd prefer to see "some" rotation and just a blast off... but ACH.

Actually under 02 is the area I was looking for ...

I have closed 1/2 at 05.50 for +2, and will look for 07.50 on the other most likely, unless it really screams up, in which case I may try to hold for 10.50

Nicely done... Well, I added @ 5.00 not crazy about it but everything here "suggests" 08.00ish is in the cards so I am going to unload most there and hold for Hail Mary pass 1411.00... but ACH... :helloooo:

The main goal of this thread is to show what Power Trades is and how it works in different markets. We will show some patterns on the ES and NQ futures, as well as discuss possible improvements to this functionality.
      What is Power Trades?
Ok, first we will consider what the Power Trades is and how it finds zones.
Power Trades shows the zones with the execution of a large number of orders in a very short time, which will affect the price change with a high probability.
Here are a few examples of how it looks like

      How it finds zones?
There is a continuous process of placing, changing and executing orders in the market. All this affects the price change and the expectations of traders regarding the future price.
When a large order appears at a certain level, the price is more likely to come to this order and it will be executed because the market is always looking for levels with liquidity. This already applies to the order flow and the mechanics of orders matching, so we will omit the principles on which the orders are matched.
It is only important to understand that "abnormal events" occur in the market at certain times. Execution of a significant volume of orders in a very short time is one of such events.
The Power Trades Scanner has several important settings that directly affect the results:

Total Volume — the minimum value of the volume that should be traded during the specified time interval
Time Interval, sec — the time over which the Total Volume should be traded
Basis Volume Interval, sec — this parameter shows how much % took the traded volume in the total volume for the specified time.
Zone Height, ticks — this parameter will show only those zones where the height is less than or equal to the specified value (in ticks).
Level2 level count — the number of levels that are involved in the calculation of Imbalance and the Level 2 Ratio column in the table of results.
Filter by Delta,% — the parameter will show zones that have a delta value greater than or equal to that specified in the setting. The value must be specified by the module, so the table will show both positive and negative delta values. We recommend paying attention to the zones with the delta above 50% (taking into account the specifics of each trading instrument).
For example, let's set the Total Volume of 2000 contracts and Time Interval in 3 seconds on the E-mini SP500 futures. This means that the scan will be based on the available history and will show on the chart only those zones that have such a volume for the specified time.

Additionally, it is worth to set a delta value to filter out the zones with one-side trades. The more delta value, the high probability that the price will reverse.

So, as a starting point about this scanner, I think this information will be enough

      Hi everyone,
This is my maiden analysis using volume profile - so please don't hesitate to share your feedback.
As per the attached analysis, I think that SPY is primed for a short - for many reasons
      - Multiple strong rejection of long positions exist at Resistance R1 and R2 : seems like sellers defending their positions
      - Very strong short volume seen at R2 : further signifying sellers who are ready at that level
However, once the price reaches Support S1, there seems to be a strong buying sentiment which has rejected previous shorts. You can see trading ranges & pullbacks to S1 where buyers and sellers seem to agree on a price range, often leading to a buyer dominance.
      What do you think?

    • Date: 11th July 2025.   Demand For Gold Rises As Trump Announces Tariffs!   Gold prices rose significantly throughout the week as investors took advantage of the 2.50% lower entry level. Investors also return to the safe-haven asset as the US trade policy continues to escalate. As a result, investors are taking a more dovish tone. The ‘risk-off’ appetite is also something which can be seen within the stock market. The NASDAQ on Thursday took a 0.90% dive within only 30 minutes.   Trade Tensions Escalate President Trump has been teasing with new tariffs throughout the week. However, the tariffs were confirmed on Thursday. A 35% tariff on Canadian imports starting August 1st, along with 50% tariffs on copper and goods from Brazil. Some experts are advising that Brazil has been specifically targeted due to its association with the BRICS.   However, the President has not directly associated the tariffs with BRICS yet. According to President Trump, Brazil is targeting US technology companies and carrying out a ‘witch hunt’against former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, a close ally who is currently facing prosecution for allegedly attempting to overturn the 2022 Brazilian election.   Although Brazil is one of the largest and fastest-growing economies in the Americas, it is not the main concern for investors. Investors are more concerned about Tariffs on Canada. The White House said it will impose a 35% tariff on Canadian imports, effective August 1st, raised from the earlier 25% rate. This covers most goods, with exceptions under USMCA and exemptions for Canadian companies producing within the US.   It is also vital for investors to note that Canada is among the US;’s top 3 trading partners. The increase was justified by Trump citing issues like the trade deficit, Canada’s handling of fentanyl trafficking, and perceived unfair trade practices.   The President is also threatening new measures against the EU. These moves caused US and European stock futures to fall nearly 1%, while the Dollar rose and commodity prices saw small gains. However, the main benefactor was Silver and Gold, which are the two best-performing metals of the day.   How Will The Fed Impact Gold? The FOMC indicated that the number of members warming up to the idea of interest rate cuts is increasing. If the Fed takes a dovish tone, the price of Gold may further rise. In the meantime, the President pushing for a 3% rate cut sparked talk of a more dovish Fed nominee next year and raised worries about future inflation.   Meanwhile, jobless claims dropped for the fourth straight week, coming in better than expected and supporting the view that the labour market remains strong after last week’s solid payroll report. Markets still expect two rate cuts this year, but rate futures show most investors see no change at the next Fed meeting. Gold is expected to finish the week mostly flat.       Gold 15-Minute Chart     If the price of Gold increases above $3,337.50, buy signals are likely to materialise again. However, the price is currently retracing, meaning traders are likely to wait for regained momentum before entering further buy trades. According to HSBC, they expect an average price of $3,215 in 2025 (up from $3,015) and $3,125 in 2026, with projections showing a volatile range between $3,100 and $3,600   Key Takeaway Points: Gold Rises on Safe-Haven Demand. Gold gained as investors reacted to rising trade tensions and market volatility. Canada Tariffs Spark Concern. A 35% tariff on Canadian imports drew attention due to Canada’s key trade role. Fed Dovish Shift Supports Gold. Growing expectations of rate cuts and Trump’s push for a 3% cut boosted the gold outlook. Gold Eyes Breakout Above $3,337.5. Price is consolidating; a move above $3,337.50 could trigger new buy signals. Always trade with strict risk management. • Back in the early 2000s, Netflix mailed DVDs to subscribers.   It wasn’t sexy—but it was smart. No late fees. No driving to Blockbuster.   People subscribed because they were lazy. Investors bought the stock because they realized everyone else is lazy too.   Those who saw the future in that red envelope? They could’ve caught a 10,000%+ move.   Another story…   Back in the mid-2000s, Amazon launched Prime.   It wasn’t flashy—but it was fast.   Free two-day shipping. No minimums. No hassle.   People subscribed because they were impatient. Investors bought the stock because they realized everyone hates waiting.   Those who saw the future in that speedy little yellow button? They could’ve caught another 10,000%+ move.   Finally…   Back in 2011, Bitcoin was trading under $10.   It wasn’t regulated—but it worked.   No bank. No middleman. Just wallet to wallet.   People used it to send money. Investors bought it because they saw the potential.   Those who saw something glimmering in that strange orange coin? They could’ve caught a 100,000%+ move.   The people who made those calls weren’t fortune tellers. They just noticed something simple before others did.   A better way. A quiet shift. A small edge. An asymmetric bet.   The red envelope fixed late fees. The yellow button fixed waiting. The orange coin gave billions a choice.   Of course, these types of gains are rare. • What These Attacks Look Like There are several ways you could get hacked. And the threats compound by the day.   Here’s a quick rundown:   Phishing: Fake emails from your “bank.” Click the link, give your password—game over.   Ransomware: Malware that locks your files and demands crypto. Pay up, or it’s gone.   DDoS: Overwhelm a website with traffic until it crashes. Like 10,000 bots blocking the door. Often used by nations.   Man-in-the-Middle: Hackers intercept your messages on public WiFi and read or change them.   Social Engineering: Hackers pose as IT or drop infected USB drives labeled “Payroll.”   You don’t need to be “important” to be a target.   You just need to be online.   What You Can Do (Without Buying a Bunker) You don’t have to be tech-savvy.   You just need to stop being low-hanging fruit.   Here’s how:   Use a YubiKey (physical passkey device) or Authenticator app – Ditch text message 2FA. SIM swaps are real. Hackers often have people on the inside at telecom companies.   Use a password manager (with Yubikey) – One unique password per account. Stop using your dog’s name.   Update your devices – Those annoying updates patch real security holes. Use them.   Back up your files – If ransomware hits, you don’t want your important documents held hostage.   Avoid public WiFi for sensitive stuff – Or use a VPN.   Think before you click – Emails that feel “urgent” are often fake. Go to the websites manually for confirmation.   Consider Starlink in case the internet goes down – I think it’s time for me to make the leap. Don’t Panic. Prepare. (Then Invest.)   I spent an hour in that basement bar reading about cyberattacks—and watching real-world systems fall apart like dominos.   The internet going down used to be an inconvenience. Now, it’s a warning.   Cyberwar isn’t coming. It’s here.   And the next time your internet goes out, it might not just be your router.   Don’t panic. Prepare.   And maybe keep a backup plan in your back pocket. Like a local basement bar with good bourbon—and working WiFi.   As usual, we’re on the lookout for more opportunities in cybersecurity. Stay tuned.   Author: Chris Campbell (AltucherConfidential) Profits from free accurate cryptos signals: https://www.predictmag.com/
