Greetings everyone,

New to the site , not new to trading. I have been trading FX for the past 6 years , had pretty good success with it. I am now moving into the futures world , mainly YM . Demoing a few brokers as I type this. I have a few different methods I am trying out from the FX world which seem to work ok but need a little tweeking. I say "methods" because I do not really believe in systems as my definition of a system gives no play. A method , in my opinion , is a guide that allows for change every so often.

Anyway I am looking forward to communicating with everyone on here.Any brokers that anyone can recommend would be helpful, currently I am considering AMP due to low commissions ans the great Customer service I have received from them just in my demo account.

Nice to meet you. So when you trade are you trade which time frames do you like to use and are you day trading or swing trading?

I have just started out and intend to stay on the demo account for another 6 months which will bring my exposure to the markets for about a year. After this point i realistically feel I would have witnessed all the cycles within the year and be confident to invest my own hard earned £5000 on the table.

Am I heading in the right direction?

Regards,

James !

Hi TheDarkhorse,

I prefer day trading in forex and usually in stocks i open a position for the next two or three days.

I think demo trading for six months is enough time to make you feel comfortable with trading and start trading with your real money, keep in mind that is always different trading with demo and with real money. Be carefull, do your homework.

Best Regards

Hello ,

I have been trading FX for about 6 years now. I started trading stocks first and did not really like it that much. I find FX better since , for me , it is easier to keep track of a few currency pairs than 3000 stocks and their charts. I am mostly a technical trader.

I am going to be trading YM futures soon . After all my research I found the YM a good place to start in futures. In FX I trade 2 time frames ....the 5 min and the 1 hour. I trade my own method that I developed. If you are looking for the holy grail .....stop as you already posses it.....it is your brain.

The best EA ever built was the human mind .....

Hi Angela!!!! Im Maya!!! Well where to begin - there are an endless number of forex companies out there. The question is though - what type of trader are you - when and how are you pplanning to trade? Will you be a scalper, a swinger, day trader ... etc - many options too. Will you focus on the market news or the indicators .... :D

Im sorry - I seem to have truly confused you now I see.

How about this - tell me a little bit more about you and your ideas - and maybe we can help one another.

Thank you in advance and hope to be hearning from you soon :)O

As Im learning along - I have learned that these are really important before reading anything else.

Hope it helps you too :D

• Sellers are ASKing for a high price

• Buyers are BIDding at a lower price

• Trading is an auction

• Slippage occurs with most Market Orders

• The difference between the ASK and the BID price is the Spread

Hi everyone,

I'm an systematic trader from Spain (=crisis).

I work with Tradestation and Multichart and I try to trade everything I think I have some positive mathematic expectation.

I strongly agree with the philosophy of Larry Hite in the sense that I do not care to buy coffee or gold is simply a 1R bet .

I hope I can contribute something and learn a lot.

Regards
