Traders Who Use Neuro Programmer

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I was wondering if their was any traders who use Neuro Programmer or any other related brainwave tool. If so please share with me some of the aspects and techniques you use it for...

raffa,

I have used NeuroProgramer for years ( but am increasingly using MindWorkStation with WildDivine HRV feedback - see below) Great products, good price points. I believe there are already a couple threads up on TL about this – search and maybe the search functions will function :)

I should note that I personally do not use the app to “entrain”. To me, we’re already entrained enough. All my protocols have the expressed intent of training facile, choiceful shifts in BW frequency ie adaptability… (For similar work goog Shakti, but my stuff is differentiated from Persinger’s – with far less ‘profound’ scopes, more selective (ie less random) sequencing than his, and actually more inclusion of the negative / stressful / effortful elements… )

…and fwiw - To me, all the subliminal / suggestion / self-hynosis / affirmation stuff is total crap.... built on some really invalid assumptions about the pervasiveness of the whole brains' use of language... etc

Just like staying in physical shape, I typically do sessions 3 times a week – whether I need them or not.

(Speaking of staying in shape… imo most ppl’s trading would be enhanced more by using that same time getting and staying in just right physical shape than by going under the headphones)

Bottom line = I basically see consensus application of the technology as a temporary but possibly useful crutch. If you are going with the consensus uses of this technology, spots like

Traders using NP - Transparent Community Forum

may help.

In essence the key is knowing what you need and WHEN you need it… then developing and using protocols (/ crutches) that help. Actually doing the work towards high self awareness of your patterns and WHEN they happen is imo far, far more important than ‘running external agents’ into your head…

Transparent may still have free trials and money back guarantees so give it a trial. You'll quickly know whether you have the 'energy' to get into the program(s) and leverage them... it's not for everybody...

Thanks for your assistance.

I'm basically trying to construct protocols to match the different aspects of my trading strategy so i can trade confidently and with clarity. I was planning to program my subconscious with Alpha and Theta to become accustomed to my system's structure and profit capabilities. Its like i don't believe that my system is profitable even though it shows consistent profit on back-tests as well as live trading, but once i start to get profitable i loose confidence :crap: (maybe its a self-image issue) Once those programs are embedded i was looking for a session that puts you in that "trader zone" as a pre-market warm up or a lunch break session. Do you know of any particular sessions which have put you in a " winning zone" like mental state?

What you just described seems to be a perfect fit for the consensus paradigm and “standard practices” for applying this technology. To rephrase / restate what I was getting at in first post – I can offer favorable reviews of the NP product itself but I don’t embrace the current paradigm nor the standard practices for this technology, so I can only refer you to the libraries on Transparent user (and other BWE) sites for downloadable templates to use as it or to build on. All the best at dialing something in and reaching your goals.

Stroop effect shown nullified by hypnotic linguistic suggestions. Columbia News ::: Hypnosis Gaining Ground in Medicine

Some non-conscious parts of the brain can and do use language to communicate with the pre-frontal cortex as was seen by Stetter and Kupper in their meta study of Autogenic Training studies. SpringerLink - Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, Volume 27, Number 1

Hypnotic suggestion works in some individuals who willfully want it to work. It does not work in people who willfully resist relaxing and focusing attention.

NP is a good product. BWE benefits most who use it even if the benefit can be attributed to placebo effects. (BTW, Placebo effects are strong evidence that non conscious parts of the brain do process verbal linguistic information.) While statistical studies of outcome anecdotal modalities do not meet Popper's falsification criteria, the fact still remains that each person is responsible to their own selves to earn their self esteem and respect. If BWE helps, then good for them.

Thanks for the feedback. My :) reactions…

re “Stroop effect shown nullified by hypnotic linguistic suggestions”

??

More accurate might be “Stroop effect shown nullified by ‘presence’ and interaction.”

re “Some non-conscious parts of the brain can and do use language”

That “Some” is still extremely miniscule in my view.

re “Placebo effects are strong evidence that non conscious parts of the brain do process verbal linguistic information” that’s a stretch… a big stretch…

re “willfully want it to work” Willfully wanting it to work is a factor but not major factor… transitions to the issue of ‘highly hypnotizable individuals’ / the ‘highly suggestible’ …which unfortunately transitions to this pivotal issue – the ‘highly suggestible’ are even less likely to retain changes produced from what I called all this ‘verbal crap’ than are the ‘lowly suggestible’. Specific to NP, to me this means, bignore the “subliminal / suggestion / self-hynosis / affirmation” features of the product… even if you were lucky enough to find the right agent voices for yourself, ultimately the returns from the additional ‘crap’ would still be relatively low

…here we go again… just because neuroscience is all new and au currant doesn’t make it ‘right’… I personally have some serious questions about basic assumptions of the whole field… and have accepted that I may not live long enough to see the fad fade… :)

    • The big breakthrough with AI right now is “natural language computing.”   Meaning, you can speak in natural language to a computer and it can go through huge data sets, make sense out of them, and speak back to you in natural language.   That alone is a huge breakthrough.   The next leg? AI agents. Where they don’t just speak back to you.   They take action. Here’s the definition I like best: an AI agent is an autonomous system that uses tools, memory, and context to accomplish goals that require multiple steps.   Everything from simple tasks (analyzing web traffic) to more complex goals (building executive briefings or optimizing websites).   They can:   > Reason across multiple steps.   >Use tools like a real assistant (Excel spreadsheets, budgeting apps, search engines, etc.)   > Remember things.   And AI agents are not islands. They talk to other agents.   They can collaborate. Specialized agents that excel at narrow tasks can communicate and amplify one another’s strengths—whether it’s reasoning, data processing, or real-time monitoring.   What it Looks Like You wake up one morning, drink your coffee, and tell your AI agent, “I need to save $500 a month.”   It gets to work.   First, it finds all your recurring subscriptions. Turns out you’re paying $8.99 for a streaming service you forgot you had.   It cancels it. Then it calls your internet provider, negotiates a lower bill, and saves you another $40. Finally, it finds you car insurance that’s $200 cheaper per year.   What used to take you hours—digging through statements, talking to customer service reps on hold for an hour, comparing plans—is done while you’re scrolling Twitter.   Another example: one agent tracks your home maintenance needs and gets information from a local weather-monitoring agent. Result: "Rain forecast next week - should we schedule gutter cleaning now?"   Another: an AI agent will plan your vacations (“Book me a week in Italy for under $2,000”), find the cheapest flights, and sort out hotels with a view.   It’ll remind you to pay bills, schedule doctor’s appointments, and track expenses so you’re not wondering where your paycheck went every month.   The old world gave you tools—Excel spreadsheets, search engines, budgeting apps. The new world gives you agents who do the work for you.   Don’t Get Too Scared (or Excited) Yet William Gibson famously said: "The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed."   AI agents will distribute it. For decades, the tools that billionaires and corporations used to get ahead—personal assistants, financial advisors, lawyers—were out of reach for regular people.   AI agents could change that.   BUT, remember…   We’re in inning one.   AI agents have a ways to go.   They’re imperfect. They mess up. They need more defenses to get ready for prime time.   To be sure, AI is powerful, but it’s not a miracle worker. It’s great at helping humans solve problems, but it’s not going to replace all jobs overnight.   Instead of fearing AI, think of it as a tool to A.] save you time on boring stuff and B.] amplify what you’re already good at. Right now is the BEST time to start experimenting. It’s also the best time to find investments that will “make AI work for you”.
