Problem with Ninja?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had this problem with Ninja: You place a limit order on the DOM, and then when price moves through your order the order isn't triggered?

I had this happen today 3 times trading the QM, and once with the TF - and this was when price action was normal, well before the meltdown. It's happened other days as well.

Thanks,

Dez:

Have you considered using stop orders rather than limit orders? Something tells me this is your problem...you may be using limits when stops may be more appropriate (please note that a stop order does not necessarily mean stop-loss - a stop order can be used to enter a positions as well). Can't be certain, though.

I used the same for a long time, now I use the free version but you should talk to Ninja support, they have always been very helpful. I have never had that happen though

I'm using the pay version of Ninja, Bathrobe, with Mirus Futures...

I should contact them. Could be a variety of things though if it is a limit order resting at the exchange it should not happen. Sounds like for some reason it was a 'synthetic' order residing at the client or at the broker, maybe due to it being managed by Ninjas ATM stuff?
