Reading Charts in Real Time

You trade the 15 minute chart? Doesn't that force you to sit around looking at your charts all day and over-analyze them?

 

For me, forex charts are generally too choppy on the shorter timeframes. I want to trade good swings.

If the UJ can make it to PT3 before the end of the day, I will nominate this for trade-of-the-month!...excellent R/R opportunity off a larger degree 2b, taken off a smaller degree 123...

Well, I think I’m going to call it a night…no trades for me.

 

I was expecting this week to be a week of full-time, uninterrupted trading (after adjusting my part-time job schedule to only Friday evenings and weekends). However, something unexpected came up and unfortunately it will cut deep into my trading hours…I’m going to be trading from a hotel…I won’t be trading any more Tokyo’s, tomorrow’s NY will be cut short, I’ll probably have to start NY a little later each day after tomorrow, and I may not get to trade at all on Friday. It’s only this week, though…next week I should be back to full-time.

UPDATE: The short filled and my stop is now at BE+1 tick.

UPDATE: The short filled and my stop is now at BE+1 tick.

 

UPDATE 2: Stop moved down a little. It's actually only a 0.4 tick move down from BE+1 tick, but it does provide a more accurate illustration on my Ninja chart of where my stop actually is...

UPDATE: The short filled and my stop is now at BE+1 tick.

UPDATE 2: Stop moved down a little. It's actually only a 0.4 tick move down from BE+1 tick, but it does provide a more accurate illustration on my Ninja chart of where my stop actually is...

 

UPDATE 3: Stop moved, again. Looks like I picked the wrong pair to be in this morning...the EU & GU are taking off like crazy! :doh:

 

UPDATE 4: Stop moved tighter. BTW, I think I might have to be heading out soon...

Just took BE on an attempt at an early entry on a larger swing trade...

 

I'm having a hard time this week...maybe it has to do with sleep deprivation and trading in a hotel room...I don't want to make excuses, though...haha

I'm actually not sure what my trading schedule will look like for the remainder of the week, other than that I won't be trading Tokyo this evening for sure...I may not be trading tomorrow...not sure...

Well, I'm trading Tokyo like I said I wouldn't be able to at all this week! I'm exhausted though and will probably be calling it quits soon.

 

Anyways, I'm looking now at a potential short on the EU...

FINAL UPDATE: Filled @ profit! Well, on that great note (and I don't mean that sarcastically this time!), I think I'm going to call it a week! This week has been...interesting. I'm back home now, and next week I should be back to regular full-time trading. The week will be cut short, though, because of Christmas. However, during first part of the week when I will be trading, it will be on my normal schedule.

Maybe another shot at a GU short...

 

If I would have had my stop at the swing high on that last trade, I'd still be in it...hmm...
