Looks like equities will be offered at OEC here soon. Pretty soon they will offer most everything under one house, which is very convenient.

thanks brownsfan, if they figure out how to do Interactive Brokers 'universal account' (futures and equities/etf's in a single account) -- with their existing software/trading platform -- they can own the world.

 

Open Ecry does really need to figure out how to get NYSE ticks to traders ASAP, among a few other things -- ie, VIX, breadth, up/down volume etc...

I agree Frank. If they have equities, then I think that data may become available. Every time I asked previously, the response was that data is not at the CME, so they could not offer. Now, you would think that data would be available at some point.

 

Looks like Options Xpress may have gotten a good deal on buying out OEC. They must have seen the value in the software and then it's just a matter of opening it up to more instruments to trade.

IF OEC could cross margin from one main account to trade stock, futures and forex they would have a big edge over others.

not much in here but its coming -- hopefully this eventual conversion does not affect the performance of the futures trading platform.

Please note that during testing this new version will only be for equities and equity options and you will continue to use your current OEC Trader for futures. After testing is complete all asset classes will be on the same software.
