Software, Charts, Signals, Indicators, Etc.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I've been trading equities, options, and futures for near 20 years now. I've earned enough to raise my family in a nice atmosphere, sent them to college on those earnings, and still earn a few dollars each week for supplementing my retirement when I want.

I have purchase almost every software package, 'guaranteed' indicators, charting programs etc., that I could get my hands on to become the "expert" trader.

All that insane work and nothing to show for it except a lighter wallet.

If you really want to make money, get yourself over to http://www.briefing.com and watch the news.....especially the 'up-coming' earnings and analyst forecasts. The go buy yourself some options 'At-The-Money' and sell them just before the actual earnings report is published.

I guarantee you will make money no matter if your a novice or "expert".

If the analyst forecast is below expected earnings, buy some 'Puts'.....vice versa from the above statement.

I no longer have ANY TA software, charting software, etc...on my computer because it's all BS. Just check your actual earnings against the time you spent on the software and see how much you have really paid yourself..........

You guarantee it? Does this mean if I try it and don't make money, I can expect that you will reimburse me for the losses?

....ohhhh.... I struck a nerve

Have you checked your trading account..........???????? The truth does seem to hurt. But isn't that what all these "experts" are in business for.....to market their product and make a buck? How many of them, I wonder, ever even use their own software? Instead, their funds are in managed accounts. I don't see them here trying to help any of us with research, development, etc.....instead, we have been their guinea pigs. :2c:

A nerve? Hardly. I just find it amusing that someone with all these years of trading experience fell for buying systems which were clearly rip-offs and post about it just the other day and now guarantee profits if we follow your advice.

Auto Forex

FAP

What does checking my trading account have to do with the guarantee you provide? Either way, I would be happy to try your advice since it is guaranteed by you. Please send a private message with your contact information where I can contact you in case things doesn't work out as guaranteed.

FAPTurbo is my wife's quest...not mine. Although I tried to tell her, she barged in and purchased the software anyway. I do know that with the help of some of my friends on the trading floor, she has learned to turn that package into an advantage.

Nevertheless, I should have known better than to post such a thing as I did. I knew there would be disambiguations. Everyone is looking for money in all the wrong places......

As far as I'm concerned, it's your money, your life, and your faculty.....

Have a great life and a beer on me.

Interesting premise JP. I haven't traded options in a very, very long time but I would play earnings quite a bit.

If you want to share more & keep the thread going, start a journal or join the p/l thread. One thing that seems to be lacking from many that post here - new or old - is any proof of actually trading. That alone is an incredible verification since so many refuse to do so.

While you give an idea to play with, an immediate question that comes to mind is how do you narrow down your plays? For example, if you see 5, 10 or more plays on a day, do you play them all or focus on 1-2? How far out are you looking for your plays - a few days, the next day? What subscription plan on briefing.com can accomplish what you are doing here?

Maybe that can get the ball rolling in the right direction.

Actually, when I started trading in this manner, I was simply looking for a way to make my plays first thing in the morning, or late in the evening and never mess with those again.

I just happened upon a free copy of his seminar at earningstrader.com. After listing to the seminar, I immediately realized exactly what he was doing...and I tried it on my own and darn if it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

I never bought his service or his seminar as a partial seminar was made available to me.

This method of trading fit my needs, my character, and my life style....no more, no less.

If there are for instance 5 firms to report earnings on April 22, 2009, I simply do an analyst review of recommendations of buy/hold/sell. I choose the one with the highest buy or sell, make the trade, and set an automatic transaction to get out of the trade no closer than 10 days before the actual release of earnings.....if you wait too long, the options will go haywire.

It's a quick and easy way to make a buck. If you just want a 25% return, the set your exit as such and move on.

I would like to see someone actually papertrade this method on TL...the proof is in the pudding so to speak.

Very Best Regards,

JPx2

JP - so what I still don't understand is WHEN you look to enter the trade. You said you get out before the earnings are released, which is easy enough to know, but when do you start hunting for your candidates?

For example, today is April 7th. If one were to follow your plan tonight after they are done trading, home from work, etc. what are good candidates for trades to be placed Wed, April 8th?

I'm just not following how far out in advance to be looking. If you can show some trade examples for Wed, then we can see easily what earnings date(s) to be looking at in comparison to today's date.

I always look one month ahead.

I'll see if I can relocate that short seminar and pass it on.

One of my latest trades was AT&T (T: NYSE) I bought the Apr 26 Call.

It took a shot down today but analyst are reported earnings as expected.

I'll be out of it next week.

Why oh why, just because you have been unable to put together a winning strategy with the discipline to trade it, do you then leap to the conclusion that no one can? Please explain that bit of (il)logic to me.

Got it - one month out, find the highest buy/sell recommendations via briefing.com and then buy the at the money put or call. Easy enough to follow, would be interesting to watch someone trade it in real-time.

What do you think about using yahoo's free service and using the EPS estimates? Would it vary much from briefing's service?

In case anyone is interested, I haven't traded options in a long time but find it refreshing to see a discussion on options since most here trade futures.

I'm pulling the trigger on the following Positive news:

Stock: Aerospostale (ARO)

BUYING FIVE (5) May 30.00 AROEF.X 2.35 CALLS

SELLING FIVE (5) May 35.00 AROEG.X 0.40 CALLS

Total purchase RISK is: 1.95 or $975.00

I'm setting my exit trigger to close this spread at 25% profit. If it goes into a very good trend, then I will sell two and hold the others for a better profit.

As I understand it, the key to using FAPTurbo effectively is down to the way the configuring is done. Your wife needs to input some key parameters, which are not published with the software. There is a handbook which contains these that has been produced, if you are interested, and they may make some noticable differences, certainly she can test them or back test them first, and then compare the results with the parameters she is using now. Let me know if you want and I can give you the details. You can contact me here - anton at perso.be (changed the format to stop spammers so just reset it without the spaces and use the at symbol).

Anton,

She seemed to make money with the FapTurbo system only during certain hours of the day. (Using the EUR/USD pair).

It became such a joke she ask for a refund through 'Click-Bank' and got it. Now she trades using a manual system she got from a site called 'Forex Nirvana'. It's a free download called "Drain The Bank" and she is making good money.

My congrates go to those guys who spend their time and resources to build systems that actually work......and don't charge for it. However, my wife did donate to the guy as it was well worth it.

Good for her! (Though i though it had a 60 day money back guarantee anyway?). There is something distinctly fishy about Fap you just have to look at all the 'independent' reviews. What is remarkable is if you search for 'FapTurbo scam' you find that there are a whole bunch of sites that are promoting it as the only system that is not a scam! There are even 'independent review' sites set up solely to promote it.

Those guys must spend an enormous amount of time on underhand promotion.

Actually, Click-Bank has a good record it seems in refunding. They did inquire to my wife's issues with the program before refunding. I'm impressed.

You know, I've been looking at all those Forex systems websites and for some reason, they all look the same and have, for the most part, the same verbage and website design.........hummmmmmmmmmmm

    • Date: 19th February 2025.   Is the DAX Overbought After Rising For 7 Weeks Straight?   The DAX rose by 20% in 2024, however, in 2025 so far the DAX has risen more than 15% in only 50 days. The DAX has risen for seven straight weeks, driven by rate cuts and strong earnings reports. Can the DAX maintain momentum or is the price overbought? DAX 40 - What’s Driving the Bullish Trend? Three factors are driving the price of the DAX higher. The first is the European Central Bank which has cut for 2 consecutive months and is likely to adjust a further 0.75% in 2025. The lower interest rates and expectations of further cuts are known to support the DAX due to higher consumer demand.     The second factor driving prices higher are the positive earnings data. SAP SE is the most influential stock and has risen by 18% so far this year. SAP’s latest quarterly earnings report saw the company beat revenue expectations by 2.60% and earnings by 1.40%. The second most influential stock for the DAX is Siemens AG which has risen almost 20% in 2025 so far. All of the seven most influential stocks have risen in value this year so far and only 17% of the whole DAX have declined this year so far. However, traders should note that not all companies within the DAX have made public their quarterly earnings reports. The third factor is the expectation that the Ukraine-Russia conflict will end or reach a ceasefire in the first half of the year. Traders should note that an end to the conflict is more crucial for European indices in comparison to Asian or US indices. This is due to the nature of Europe and European geopolitics. Is the German DAX Overbought? When analyzing the price movement the index is trading in the overbought zone on most oscillators and on most timeframes. However, price action and previous impulse waves indicate the price will not be overbought unless the price increases above 23,250EUR. However, the intrinsic value of the DAX will also depend on US tariffs. If Germany is able to avoid harsh US tariffs, German stocks may continue to increase higher as sentiment improves. However, harsh tariffs are likely to apply downward pressure on the index and increase the likelihood of being overbought in the short-to-medium term. If the price indeed declines, traders may first target the support level at $22,437.58, which will likely fall in line with the 75-period Moving Average. The main bullish breakout point is at the 22,724.30 mark. Tariffs on Foreign Cars A key risk for the DAX as mentioned above is US tariffs, particularly on cars. The DAX index includes Mercedes-Benz, Porsche AG, BMW, and Volkswagen. Total new cars sales in the US from these 4 companies make up almost 10% of the overall sales.     Donald Trump remained defiant despite warnings that his proposed trade war could disrupt the US economy, stating that his administration might impose tariffs of approximately 25% on foreign cars within weeks. He also announced that semiconductor chips and pharmaceuticals would soon face higher tariffs, speaking at a news conference on Tuesday. Key Takeaway Points: The DAX has surged over 15% in 2025, driven by ECB rate cuts, strong earnings, and optimism over the Ukraine conflict. SAP SE and Siemens AG are the top-performing stocks and 83% of the DAX has witnessed gains. However, some earnings reports are still pending. Despite trading in overbought territory, the index may continue rising unless it faces harsh US tariffs. Potential US tariffs on foreign cars pose a key risk, impacting major DAX-listed car makers. This includes Mercedes-Benz, Porsche AG, BMW, and Volkswagen. Always trade with strict risk management.
