Hello,

 

I have seen some indicators displayed as a thick colored band on TS and MultiCharts. It is oftent referred to as a heat band, I think.

 

I have tried presenting the indicator as a histogram and setting it to the thickest output but that does not seem to work.

 

Can anybody suggest how I can achieve this output to display the condition of an indicator in EasyLanguage.

give this a try.

(This is EasyLanguage code)

 

it is the moving average...

when the Close is larger than the average, the color is blue,

when the Close is smaller than the average, the color is red.

 

set the plot to thick Histogram.

 

this will give you an idea how the band is done.

Thanks very much. Actually it was the "1" switch. I was using Plot1(0, etcetc). Changed it to 1 and everything is fine. Thanks again.

It is not the Hawkeye Indicator that I am interested in, it is the method of achieving the output to plot in this manner using EL. It turned out to be a very simple adjustment to the switch on the plot statement. You provided me with exactly the information I was seeking.
