Quotetracker Charting Platform

I am a beginner stock trader and my broker is IB. I don't like their charting so I am thinking of getting Quotetracker as my platform. Any opinion as QT is any good?

Quotetracker is fine. Ensign is also an option as is Ninjatrader... Give their free trials a shot that will help you decide whats best for you.

Thank you for the info. Would you know which platform is more adaptive to self programmed indicators? I know that QT has what is known as Paint Bar alerts.

I have not done any programming of indicators so I am not the best person to ask. I have however seen good support for indicator development in the NinjaTrader Forums

I have used QuoteTracker for many years and it is a solid good charting and entry package. You can't beat it for $60 a year!

Quotetracker has great intraday charts, Paintbar Studies with alerts, and Time and Sale Window. and it works seamlessly with IB. But for self programmed indicators, you should look into Amibroker as well as Ninjatrader.

This is true QT has no programmed indicators, but I do use the Paintbars as a programmed indicator.

One great use of Quotetracker for Equities trader is to set audio alerts for NYSE tick($TICK). I have different audio wave files playing at different levels ( -1000, -800,-600, +800, +1000, +1200..etc)
