Metatrader for Everything

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm purely a currencies trader and not checked it before. Not sure if anyone was aware, I know I wasn't, that this WHC metatrader I have linked to below provides free, real time, futures and stocks, forex, grains, metals, commodities and everything else you can think.

Once opened you can click on tools > market watch > right click on the quotes > select 'show all' > and hey presto, everything.

I do not know, nor vouch for its accuracy but for newbies and back up charts, it seems a very viable extra. It expires every 90 days but you just open a new account and start again.

Hope that's helpful to some?!

Can anyone think how they could do this for a free demo?

I thought exchanges charged for the live prices, surely this eats out of WHC's pocket? I assume they get enough real business through it from people who appreciate everything in one place to write it off?

I can only assume that there are enough punters to feed off that lose, that this is the candy to attract them (psst they'll make plenty of dough ;))

Sort of like the Casinos in Vegas who LINED UP to sponsor the recent Movie "21" you know the one about the kids who learn to count cards- Casinos know that you have to be a seasoned pro to ever do that for real (takes YEARS of training-if you could even ever master it) but they knew a slew of idiots would see the flick- think "I can do that" and the Casinos clean the starry eyed wannabe out of his money.

Thanks for the link, I'll have to give it a DL!

MT-4 is the only platform that seem to accomodate Hull Moving Averages, which I use.

Hull moving averages are also available on Ensignsoftware charts.

Hardly. But if it's the only platform YOU use, then that's only YOUR experience.

HMA uses WMAs (Weighted Moving Average) to derive its values. Nothing special about it that would keep it from other platforms using it.

All you need is the right code, IMHO.

Before I try this out, as I'm leery of downloading anything from Russia, you might want to use your existing MT4 client, and simply logon with the IP address for fasttrading's servers after you get an account.

Database on your account stored on the company server. You can connect to it from any computer with a MetaTrader4. For this purpose you have to go to the "Tools" menu, "Preferences", next choose "server" and write it's IP 69.59.151.116:443 for real trading, further click OK. The terminal will maintain the new server. Then you can open a new account by clicking on the server.

Hope this helps.

Cheers fs,

Good idea for those a tad wary. Never had a problem myself but always wise to be safe as you can.

For over 6 months now, I have been using MT4 from Water House Capital [WHC] based in Russia and have not had any problem downloading their demo platform from their site here: http://www.metaquotes.net/files/whc/whc4setup.exe. They have the most symbols available among all MT4 brokers, from forex, eminis, futures, equities, etc. I use it primarily for charting on YM [see today's chart], ES, and, EJ. Word of caution: there will be some time when the price is delayed otherwise, it matches exactly the data feed from Zenfire on my Ninjatrader platform.

I, to have been using Whc for a few months, and had no problems. Good way to follow lots of different markets in one place. Price occasionally has its hiccups, but for the most part, not a bad way to follow forex and several different types of futures markets.

Can you tell me what indicators you are using? I am interested in indicators that have red/blue arrows and yellow circles on your picture.

thanks
