All of the Gains in the S&P 500 Index Since the Start of 2006 Are Attributable to Ove

This is in market profile section because it will relate back to Jerry's series of posts.

This chart by Brett Steenbarger shows that in 2007, the S&Ps were a net loser during the pit session and that all of the gains were made in the overnight session.

I am not saying this is a strategy going forward -- merely pointing out that in 2007, if you were to only do long-side trades of the market, you were fighting an uphill battle and needed good intraday location in order to make money. This fact simply underscores Jerrys posts -- which were in part about finding location relative to that days volume weighted price.
