Oz.Fx,

Thanks for posting the Tradestation ELD file. Is it possible that you can post an ELA or ELS version of this as I use TS2Ki and it cannot read ELD files. Or maybe post the actual lines of code as I can adapt it from there ?

Thanks

Here you go Paul.

//Acceleration/Deceleration Technical Indicator (AC) from Awesome Oscillator Technical Indicator (AO)

inputs:

Len1(5),

Len2 (34),

Price ( (High + Low) /2),

CutOff(0), UpColor(Green), DnColor(Magenta);

vars:

AO (0), AC (0);

AO = Average (Price, Len1) - Average (Price, Len2);

AC = AO - Average (AO , Len1);

Plot1( AC , "AC1");

Plot2(CutOff, "CutOff");

If plot1<plot1[1]then begin

plot1(Plot1,"AC1",dncolor);

end; end;

if Plot1 crosses above Plot2 OR Plot1 crosses below Plot2 then Alert;

Calculation

AC bar chart is the difference between the value of 5/34 of the driving force bar chart and 5-period simple moving average, taken from that bar chart.

AO = SMA(median price, 5)-SMA(median price, 34)

AC = AO-SMA(AO, 5)

Where:

SMA — Simple Moving Average;

AO — Awesome Oscillator.

Acceleration/Deceleration Technical Indicator (AC) measures acceleration and deceleration of the current driving force. This indicator will change direction before any changes in the driving force, which, it its turn, will change its direction before the price. If you realize that Acceleration/Deceleration is a signal of an earlier warning, it gives you evident advantages.

The nought line is basically the spot where the driving force is at balance with the acceleration. If Acceleration/Deceleration is higher than nought, then it is usually easier for the acceleration to continue the upward movement (and vice versa in cases when it is below nought). Unlike in case with Awesome Oscillator, it is not regarded as a signal when the nought line is crossed. The only thing that needs to be done to control the market and make decisions is to watch for changes in color. To save yourself serious reflections, you must remember: you can not buy with the help of Acceleration/Deceleration, when the current column is colored red, and you can not sell, when the current column is colored green.

If you enter the market in the direction of the driving force (the indicator is higher than nought, when buying, or it is lower than nought, when selling), then you need only two green columns to buy (two red columns to sell). If the driving force is directed against the position to be opened (indicator below nought for buying, or higher than nought for selling), a confirmation is needed, hence, an additional column is required. In this case the indicator is to show three red columns over the nought line for a short position and three green columns below the nought line for a long position.

Hope this helps

Can you post some charts and explain what you are doing ? Just posting your signals here everyday provides little educational value . Otherwise, I 'd have to move your posts to the Traders Log section

OAC, I don't follow this strat much, but I do believe OzFx has his own web site where he explains the details of his strat with some examples. I believe the web site is: www.ozfx.com.au.

Happy hunting.

Like all systems, his system has its pro's and con's. When I first examined it a few months ago, the style used didn't sit well with me and the risk to reward seemed too low to be worth the risk. But then that's just me. There are others who seem to like his methods. Kudo's to them if they can make it work to their benefit.

If he posts here, he should respond too, otherwise this thread is just a headless announcement-system for his own blog entries. Maybe someone reading this could encourage him to support this thread with some feedback? Otherwise, I would support your call for this thread to be closed.

Hi guys,

Since I made the system public it has grown very big very fast. I am unable to visit all forums and reply to all questions by myself. I rely on others who have mastered to help each other. Most of the questions are repetitive and answered either on http://www.ozfx.com.au/faq/ page or discussed on other forums several times over.

These days I am only able to respond to via email that too when I get time. Apologies for not helping out everyone in a timely manner.

Cheers,

Oz

Hello Friends,

Hope you all had a great weekend. I am going to wait and see how market develops today and would refrain from taking any new positions. Last month we had an excellent run and later today I'll send an summary of those trades. Please also note that there will be a special announcement regarding the signals tomorrow, so do make sure that you read the email.

Also note that there is holiday today in New Zealand, however if won't not affect the market that much in case if you decide to place trades.

Enjoy your day :)

Thanks for the update. It is probably illegal for OzFx or Evelyn to manage accounts for US clients unless he or she is licensed to do so.

It is also a little unethical to post all the high positive pip counts and profitable trades without some independent tracking service such as Collective2, which is free and easy to use. Perhaps OzFx has tried and failed on Collective2 :

http://www.collective2.com/cgi-perl/systems.mpl?want=publicdetails&systemid=19539489

Some views from another forum

Did I say it wont produce profits?I said its not worth paying money for the signals.

Flipping a coin can produce profits.But would you pay someone $250 a month to flip the coin for you?

Have a look on here he/she was trying to start a system only in November last year on collective2.That failed.

http://www.trade2win.com/boards/trad...check-out.html

No one with any logical thought process is saying a stochastic and AO wont make profits.

Because it can and you are showing over this period it has after losses made a profit.However a stoch and ao is not a proprietary system it is age old FREE technical analysis.

What people are saying is the sudden large subscription fee only after a few months coupled with inflated pip results shows this persons intentions from the start.

They had the intention of trying to sell free technical analysis to people at 100% profit for themselves with no risk from the beginning.

If you cant grasp this then perhaps you need to open your mind.

In case any one is following, Ozfx has been banned in the forexfactory forum:

Just be aware that many of the signals he has been calling is quite discretionary and not related to the original theme of Ozfx as outlined in the first post and studied with TS in this post.

Hi Folks! Before anyone asks why this thread is in the Bin, let me tell you a story. A few months ago I had extensive conversations with Oz because it looked as though he was setting up to sell his signals. I told him we had seen this trick a hundred times and that he fit the profile perfectly. I asked him nicely to leave the site before it happened because we don't allow signal sellers to use the Factory forums to promote their products. Oz told me in several emails that he was not planning on selling anything now or in the future. He even got banned once, but after swearing that he was not selling anything I reinstated his membership. It's now obvious that Oz lied to me a number of times and that he has been planning this all along. For anyone considering paying money to Oz you are advised to not get involved this! We have seen this type of scam numerous times at FF and it always ends in tears. This is no different!

I know there will be new traders who believe in Oz and will stick up for him, and say that I am in the wrong. As my mentor Merlin once told me I will take heat about this from the naive traders, but once they learn more about trading they will appreciate what is being done at ForexFactory to protect the membership from signal sellers.

    • The big breakthrough with AI right now is “natural language computing.”   Meaning, you can speak in natural language to a computer and it can go through huge data sets, make sense out of them, and speak back to you in natural language.   That alone is a huge breakthrough.   The next leg? AI agents. Where they don’t just speak back to you.   They take action. Here’s the definition I like best: an AI agent is an autonomous system that uses tools, memory, and context to accomplish goals that require multiple steps.   Everything from simple tasks (analyzing web traffic) to more complex goals (building executive briefings or optimizing websites).   They can:   > Reason across multiple steps.   >Use tools like a real assistant (Excel spreadsheets, budgeting apps, search engines, etc.)   > Remember things.   And AI agents are not islands. They talk to other agents.   They can collaborate. Specialized agents that excel at narrow tasks can communicate and amplify one another’s strengths—whether it’s reasoning, data processing, or real-time monitoring.   What it Looks Like You wake up one morning, drink your coffee, and tell your AI agent, “I need to save $500 a month.”   It gets to work.   First, it finds all your recurring subscriptions. Turns out you’re paying $8.99 for a streaming service you forgot you had.   It cancels it. Then it calls your internet provider, negotiates a lower bill, and saves you another $40. Finally, it finds you car insurance that’s $200 cheaper per year.   What used to take you hours—digging through statements, talking to customer service reps on hold for an hour, comparing plans—is done while you’re scrolling Twitter.   Another example: one agent tracks your home maintenance needs and gets information from a local weather-monitoring agent. Result: "Rain forecast next week - should we schedule gutter cleaning now?"   Another: an AI agent will plan your vacations (“Book me a week in Italy for under $2,000”), find the cheapest flights, and sort out hotels with a view.   It’ll remind you to pay bills, schedule doctor’s appointments, and track expenses so you’re not wondering where your paycheck went every month.   The old world gave you tools—Excel spreadsheets, search engines, budgeting apps. The new world gives you agents who do the work for you.   Don’t Get Too Scared (or Excited) Yet William Gibson famously said: "The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed."   AI agents will distribute it. For decades, the tools that billionaires and corporations used to get ahead—personal assistants, financial advisors, lawyers—were out of reach for regular people.   AI agents could change that.   BUT, remember…   We’re in inning one.   AI agents have a ways to go.   They’re imperfect. They mess up. They need more defenses to get ready for prime time.   To be sure, AI is powerful, but it’s not a miracle worker. It’s great at helping humans solve problems, but it’s not going to replace all jobs overnight.   Instead of fearing AI, think of it as a tool to A.] save you time on boring stuff and B.] amplify what you’re already good at. Right now is the BEST time to start experimenting. It’s also the best time to find investments that will “make AI work for you”.
