Trading Mind Software

Recommended Posts

Just curious if anyone has any experience with Trading Mind software. It is a cd with 10 exercises to train your mind, for trading. Since, I do believe that one must master himself before mastering the markets, I would like to check this out. If anyone has any experience with this software or anything else like this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds and looks like a bunch of marketing BS to me. I mean the PS, PPS, PPPS thing really annoyed me. If you have a good product you don't need that many gimmicks IMO.

If you try it and I'm wrong do let me know though. ;)

I have it somewhere. I am not an affirmation sort of guy so didn't use it that rigorously. The other thing was at the time I bought it I don't think I believed some of the affirmations deep down. I might dust it off and give it another go.

I wouldn't like to say yay or nay really.

I got this piece of software a long time ago as a free bonus of something else that I bought, and I never gave it much attention partly because of Bernstein.

But recently someone told me the software is really good and Bernstein didn't make the software, but someone else did. He just marketed it. The problem is I don't seem to be able to find it, Hmm....

I actually did a demo of one of the exercises, and it seemed like with continued use it would almost program you to think as a successful trader should. They claim all one needs is 24 minutes a week, and I guess any training activity done for extended period of time, in theory should work. So, either way thanks for the replies to the thread, has been very helpful.

Thanks

You should just read Mark Douglas Trading in the Zone. I think more traders respect him and his books are very valued. He does a great job breaking down why new traders have such a hard time trading and the difference between successful traders.

New traders aren't accustomed to a place with no rules or structures. They feel like they have to know what's next and they have high expectations. These thoughts set themselves up for failure before they even open an account. Most traders feel pain when they are in a trade and it goes against them. Theres no reason to feel any sort of emotion when the market goes against you, the market generates neutral information it's not positive or negative in anyway. New traders expect the market to go their way, and when it doesn't they associate being wrong with pain due to the way we were all brought up.

Successful traders embrace uncertainty, they realize they don't need to know what will happen next. Basically they are rigid in their rules and flexible with their expectations.

One of my biggest problems is paralysis of analysis, I have the hardest time making a trade because I feel like I need to analyze everything to death. The more I start to believe that I don't need to know what will happen next, and I'm certain that the markets are random and can be influenced by just one trader somewhere, then that paralysis slowly fades. I have to train myself to follow my rules laid out by my plan and take full responsibility of my risk. If I'm wrong it just means I'm wrong, I don't expect to be right or wrong, which is why it's so important to define your risk before you enter a trade.

It works for me.

Before I open up anything (browser, email, platform - ANYTHING) in the morning before work I run one of the sessions. Have been using it for three months.

I do find I am much more disciplined regarding my trading (and I am usually NOT disciplined at all). I used to think I was invincible after a string of wins now I am much more honest with myself so don't do too many dumb things. Been trading full time for 5 years - EOD not intraday.

I grabbed this thing off ebay, for $60. I'll give it a go for 90 days and if it doesn't show some form of improvement I'll just get my money back.

Jwhite - any updates on this? Curious to hear from someone using it.

I have this cd. Found it relaxing but it didn't have a positive impact on my trading. If you want something to put you in a good frame of mind try mindhabits.com. They have a free demo that supposedly works miracles. If anything it will make you feel more positive.

I have Mark Douglas's Trading in the Zone book AND this Trading Mind CD.

Just like OzAsh, I use this CD everyday before turning on the trading platforms and it has been working ... in a sense that Mark Douglas book was helpful but one cannot expect to remember AND also apply the principles when you are in a trade. This Trading Mind Software will help strengthen the mind and your internal conscience when you need it. Each topic is probably 8-10 minutes ... so one can use it whenever they feel they need something.

I paid $39.95 recently for it so it is less that 1 point on the ES ...

I stand corrected. I paid $129.00 ... free shipping.

When it first came out, I loved the concept of Trading Mind.

However I found the content of the suggestions to be so lame and limiting that I sent them back...

Bang for the buck, I have found no product out there that beats NeuroProgrammerX.x by Transparent Corp.

(ps - am a consumer only, have no commercial or ... yada yada)

All the best,

Hi,

re "binaural beats " yes you can do binaurals but for some applications that is passe'

re Holosync. A user has done a great deal of research and has created "Deeper Than A Zen Monk" downloadable which with the bells he recommends is technically and aesthetically a freakn facsmile of Holosync - at a savings of almost $2000.00 USD

re 'hynosis' It comes with a bunch of built in sessions - including hypnosis induction like Trading Mind to which you can easily add your own scripts using your own voice, a text to speech voice, or a friend who has a 'hypnotic' voice...

I find running a variety of sessions is best for me - like physical workout 3 times a week whether I 'need' it or not...

From the provided sessions or from scratch, you can modify them to do just about any entrainment (or 'untrainment', btw) frequencies you want.

Excellent online community - both technically and 'growthfully'

got gamma? ;)

FF,

I believe you can get a trial of the product (and trial version may be slightly crippled btw). Join the Transparent forum and download it from there. It's called DTZM and the forum and instructions show you how to 'step' through the phases like the Holosynch's ...but you may need to be a registered NP owner first... don't know...

I would advise most to start with NeuroProgrammer. But for some, their next step up - MindWorkStation - may be the ticket because you can incorporate (limited) biofeedback with sessions.

btw - I got nothing against Bill Harris or Holosynch products at all. He's a great human being! It's like with trading systems though, very few of the purchasers are going to be a natural fit - so why spend all that money when you can trial it for a lot less and also have a tool in NP to work on many other things as well.

hth,

zdo

    • Date: 26th March 2025.   GBP Comes Under Pressure From Tough Budget and Low Inflation!   The British Pound is one of the worst-performing currencies of the day. The poor performance is due to pressure from low Inflation and what investors expect to be a tough budget. Why is the UK announcing a stricter budget and for how long will there be pressure on the GBP? Let’s find out! Reasons Investors Are Cautious About The New UK Budget The Pound has fallen 0.32% against the USD and more than 0.50% against the Australian and Canadian Dollar. The Pound is not the worst-performing currency of the day yet, but if the GBPJPY continues to decline as it has over the past hour, the GBP will be at the bottom of the table. The downward momentum is due to the inflation rate which fell from 3.00% to 2.8%. Previously investors were expecting the rate to remain at 3.00%. Many investors fear the fall in inflation is due to weak economic growth and struggling consumer demand. If this continues to be the case, the Bank of England is likely to consider a rate cut.   GBPUSD 30-Minute Chart on March 26th   The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) released its retail sales index for March today, showing a decline from -23.0 to -43.0, the lowest level in eight months, compared to the initial forecast of -28.0. According to CBI experts, businesses in the retail and wholesale sectors are experiencing pressure from global trade challenges, while the new government budget, which entails a substantial rise in debt, is further straining demand. Another key factor contributing to the Pound’s downfall is the UK’s budget and the chancellor's speech. The new UK budget will be released today and the Chancellor will speak in parliament at 12:30 GMT. Investors fear that the chancellor will announce further austerity measures and cuts to the budget. This is mainly in order to spend more on defence and adjust the budget to the weaker economic performance. The chancellor has also stated that 10,000 public sector jobs may be eliminated, with additional savings potentially coming from changes in the accounting treatment of billions of pounds reallocated from overseas aid to the defence budget. The question that traders are asking is whether the Pound will continue to decline. This will primarily depend on how strict the budget is, the chancellor's growth projections and how the bond market reacts. Nonetheless, the technical analysis continues to provide a bearish and dim bias for the upcoming 24 hours. GBPUSD - Technical Analysis Points Towards A Weakening GBP The GBPUSD has now been declining since 18:00 GMT Tuesday and failed to form a higher high. Therefore price action is partially indicating downward price movement and this signal will likely strengthen if the price falls below 1.29011. The price is also trading below the 75-bar EMA, 100-bar SMA and below the neutral level of the RSI. These factors also strengthen the bearish bias of the currency exchange. The US Dollar index is currently trading higher this morning but traders will monitor how the index will react to the European open. This is because the index has fallen 0.08% since the European Cash Open. Nonetheless, the momentum continues to remain mainly in favour of the Dollar. The only concern for traders is the support level at 1.29011.   USDX (US Dollar Index) 30-Minute Chart on March 26th   Key Takeaway Points: Pound Weakness: The British Pound is struggling due to lower inflation and budget concerns. Retail Sales Drop: The CBI retail index hit an eight-month low, signalling economic strain. Austerity Fears: Investors worry about public sector cuts and defence spending shifts. The bond market reaction will be key for the Pound. Bearish GBP Outlook: Technical indicators suggest further decline, pending budget impact. Always trade with strict risk management.
