Using CCI for Ags

Recommended Posts

I assume the name Commodity Channel Index was originally used by traders for ags markets, but I'm wondering if it's still being used for just by stock traders only now. I've never used it and was just curious about its history.

If you're going to use an oscillator to pinpoint entries and exits, I'd rather use the MACD for trading Ags, since that's what the standard 12,26,9 settings were optimized for.

As for the history of the CCI, try looking at Woodies CCI club - I'm sure you'll find a wealth of info there.
