Tradestation Alternative for Automated Trading

Hi, I trade automated strategies on Tradestation that I've written. Is there any recommended platform we can port these strategies to for better execution?

As a retail trader - not really. TradeStation is as good as it gets. Other platforms are as good, and some may have specific features that are more desirable for how you trade. But nothing that is obviously better. MultiCharts which SIYUA mentioned is built by the same guys who built the original Omega/TradeStation, and it uses a variant of EasyLanguage, so strategy can be easily ported.

 

Are you experiencing some specific difficulty with TradeStation?

 

If you can give a little bit more generalised information about what you're doing (eg frequency of trading, markets traded) then I can probably be a bit more help.

I'm trading large lots and getting slipped tremendously, plus their short list kills me at times. Trading 50K+ shares, split between two accounts with my entries being slipped hurts with these lot sizes. The stock I'm trading is very liquid over 40M shares a day. I've tried to break my orders into multiples but that has been a programming challenge.
