Hi All, I have read “Elliott Wave Principle - Key to Market Behavior” book and feel it is interest so I want to apply it to my real trading. When I start to apply this theory I am in a big problem that I don’t know where I should start count wave. For example: If the chart like bellow, I find that this chart is have 5 wave so I think that it is intermediate impulse wave and label as But later when HNX continue to decline so much so that advance isn’t actionary and it is reactionary Please kindly guide me how to select the first point to count Elliott wave. By the wave, please kindly do example for both stock index bellow ( I upload monthly, weekly and daily). Dow: Basically, we're in for a major crash very soon. (possibly the largest in known history)... What would invalidate that prediction is prices rising above the '07 high (about 14,200.) The basis for this prediction is that normally a crash is ABC down... But in this case it is a major impulse wave down, that started with the '08 low. Gold: To-do Silver: To-do Oil: To-do About me: I'm 15 years old and I'm interested in the markets. I don't stick to one hobby for long though... So I may not be around forever. Please feel free to correct my predictions (maturely, of course). I will adjust them to any good tips you guys make! -
Hello friends and fellow traders, I am just starting to study Elliott Wave Theory and so sounds interesting. I got this chart in my e-mail a while ago and I like to know what others think. You may have seen the same chart. It is portending that the DOW ( probably the S&P too ) have another wave up to new all time highs. I like to hear what experienced Elliott Wave trades ( non-Elliott wave traders are also welcome to respond ) think of this. I look at the chart and all I see is a left shoulder a head of a developing head and shoulder pattern. If someone already discussed this in another thread, Please post a link , thanks.
