My 2 cents worth Anybody interested in developing strategies and tactics incorporating Wyckoff's principle (including VSA) and WRB would do well to get hold of "Techniques of Tape Reading" by Vadym Graifer & Christopher Schumacher. What I have read on this thread reinforces the concepts in the book, which I should add has helped me tremendously in progressing from paper trading to real money. The exit strategy based on WRB , scaling out of multiple contracts with Support/Resistance is quite a revelation.

TG, Excellent thread on VSA, great Long setup on chart posted #386, the strategy here is obviously a trend reversal, however what were the exact tactics for trade entry and trade management. Basically there are 3 setups : 1. Breakout of congestion 2. Retracement and continuation 3. Trend Reversal. Breakout, retracement can be considered as trading in the trend direction. Then relevant tactics have to be setout to trade with discipline and consistency. In this respect I have found info. in "Techniques of Tape Reading" by Vadym Graifer and Christopher Schumacher extremely valuable. Their aspect of exiting trades on WRB with volume in conjunction with support/resistance level has made a huge impact on my trading.

Great stuff TG, I used to go on Trade2Win forums, there are some in depth discussions on price/volume as per Wyckoff by Dbphoenix, however it has remained mostly theory culminating in endless ego based arguments with hardly any charts of real trade. Anyway having said that, there is much to learn on the significance of volume and price action. Notice that you have a market profile logo beneath your name, perhaps you could incorporate that into your discussion, am sure that when price reaches one of the high vol areas via market profile, it will react with volume and that should provide certain signals as and when price say approaches the pivot levels or any of the fib. retracements
