  1. Thank you very much for posting. I can't find the normal thanks link so I posted.
  2. I am not sure if this has been asked........ With all the discussion of clamping down on flash orders and such will this make your indicators less valuable? I had been thinking about this because many of your posts/indicators seem to take advantage of micro second imbalances. Dan P.S. I want to thank you again for sharing your concepts/ideas. I look at your indicators, along with a couple of other proprietary ones I have watched real time, and think it's no wonder most will never make it with BB's, MACD, and such.

    Opening a LLC

Single member LLC's are disregarded for tax purposes. In that case S corp makes more sense. Lower chance or IRS audit for trading expense write off, but more paperwork. I don't have time to field your questions it would take hours and I am no expert. I used Paul Mann, daytradertax.com. He gave me a free hour consult and charged me $600 I think several years ago. Stay away from traders accounting they make it too damn complicated and are quite $$$$. Green is good, but $$$$.

AK, Does the above apply to all TT feeds? For example with X Trader or NT with TT feed? Or are you referring to the TT fix apdapter? Your feedback appreciated.

You have to lease it from EOT. You should just check out the free trial they really are a great group, and no I am no affiliate.

BF, Do you think the above is the cause of the issue. A friend of mine was in their room and EOT's Glen said there was inconsistency in indicators between platform because some use filtered vs unfiltered data.
  7. I am almost positive Jerry told me RTH several months ago. That said I have seen some guys whom run a good trading room run a globex VWAP.
  8. Thanks for posting guys. If Steve Cohen listens well I should too.
  9. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and your knowledge.
  10. UB, I have read all of your posts and I have seen no discussion of how dark pools affect your method? I would think that they do or an iceberg for that much?

Hey nice simple settings without all the stuff I saw in the room. I understand its important to look at non-correlated indicators. That said the more I trade the more I believe if you have good tools to track order flow that's about all you need. The folks at EOT are a good group of folks with some very good tools. Is that Curious George Pimind?
  12. UB, I am clear on that. That's why I have been studying the information you have posted. Thanks for sharing and pushing the use of volume to new levels. I was responding the the OP request for information on price and volume. Good trading to all.
  13. It's what dominates TL. Look up VSA, Wyckoff, etc. They are all price and volume based.
  14. Having read a lot of UB's posts and being avid student of PV I am almost certain he is using transactional volume. The more volume the more pressure. UB's posts are quite thought provoking and helpful IMO.
  15. Sevensa, Upon closer look it appears this works for divergences as well. Did I read that right?
  16. It is absolutely true. Every time TA rolls contracts their volume is off by a mile for atleast a week. Yesterday I had a 1 minute histogram bar showing over 50k for the ES and Mirus/Zen/NT showed a couple of thousand. This has been going on over 1 year I brought to their attention and they don't or can't do anything about it. I seem to smooth out after 2 weeks, but I have errant volume spikes again today. Today as I post at 12:45 ET on ES Zen is showing 72 contracts in 1 minute and TransAct is showing over 45k in that same minute of time. They are pretty good as a broker, have good trade desk support, but their data leaves alot to be desired. Apparently MC is dropping them a supported data feed due to issues.

Never ceases to amaze me that I get more good stuff from TL than anywhere else. I went to their website and watched their "Alahas" indicator. Did anyone notice that this and their SD's look very similar to trading with market stats that JPERL did with VWAP and SD's?
  18. Unfortunately Sierra VWAP bands doesn't work correctly. I am hoping they will correct the code, Ninja and Ensign work fine.
  19. Hi Tams. I was wondering if you could verify the the volume reporting on HSI appears correct? I have often wanted to try the market, but wasn't sure about the correct reporting of volume and such. For example, I am aware they have 2 closings I believe, trades rougly start time 7PM ET I believe? Do they have dark pools of liquidity that affect the ability to use PV?
  20. I don't know if you have answered your question or not? I set VWAP bands in NT for session times globex for currencies and regular trading hours for eminis. The longer the session the less likely price will move to the outer bands has been my experience. I really appreciate Jerry educating TL about them. I found that the work well when using them with PVP/POC, but they missed some good opps. so I dropped the PVP and just trade with SD VWAP, to each his own.
  21. Tim's pre-market videos are good. Even if you don't use AP they give you the macro prospective from a real veteran.
  22. Eiger I am the first to give credit where due. I have learned alot from your posts, Db's, Todd's teachings, Sebastian, and Tom Williams. I appreciate your posts.
  23. Yes and you want to see increase range = width of the bar/candle. As you do chart replay watch the reversal that happened at the bottom today. The speed to the upside, range of bar, volume all synched up. The pb's were on generally low volume, low speed, and low range. In contrast, if you had a reversal, on increased volume, increased range of bar, increased price, but no speed on the up move where price is just drifting it's a lower probability trade.
