Quit the session after trade 2.
-
Will there be more of the same PA or will things be different with a little direction?
-
Kind of a choppy day, but with price being at a possible turning point its hard not to look for trades.
-
Price made new highs over night which means the daily DL will be fanned to accommodate the most recent swing low, PA is back under the swing high we head into the open.
-
Price saw an upward move towards the UL but it did so in a very messy fashion. Thoughts: Real sense of frustration starting to set in, PA seems vague and oscillates a lot before making any kind of move. I am making mistakes along the way by passing on more trades than I take, poor entry and trade management seem the most obvious. The market is not behaving as I would expect, which leaves me thinking my expectations are wrong, this bullish market is similar to a period I backtested during a period of new highs in 2014 and my results are not that dissimilar, weak continuations, deep pullbacks interspersed with price spikes and chop... Challenging but not impossible.

Possibly back to range trading, trade reversals off the extreme or trade the breakouts via rets.
-
Kept shorting the market, perhaps a bias had set in on what the day was likely to be. Edit: Added notes.
-
Daily failed to confirm the ret after a stride break, there was a double bottom of sorts and overnight price has crept back to an earlier swing high just above the MP of last weeks drop, could be a potential range in the making.
-
Had to shut down after trade 2.
-
Prep, could be on the cusp of a breakdown, time will tell.
-
More trades than I usually make for the day but I still find myself over managing some of the trades I take.
-
Still hanging around the MP of the drop.
-
Spent a lot of the session sitting on my hands.
-
Overnight saw price rally to the MP of the drop, the inability of price to move beyond this level suggests continued weakness which ties in with the higher time frames of the daily and weekly.
-
1 trade for the day as I struggled to focus.
-
prep after the big drop, daily LOLR is down and the push lower has moved us well away from the upper limit.
-
A positive result is about the only positive I can take from the day. I still find myself becoming increasingly concerned with protecting gains the further a trade goes in the right direction to the extent that I look for reasons to get out by looking at time frames where I am likely to find a reason. Ideally, when following the plan, one holds the trade until there is no longer any reason to hold, then exiting flat or flipping the position might be the best call. Whilst I am much improved from the bad old days when every trade was a white knuckle experience I still find myself making emotive decisions at times, the bigger a trade gets the worse I get in my thought making process. Notes attached.

Prep for the day ahead.
-
Lack of patience was a problem.
-
A little late with the prep, no trades made for the previous posts prep.

Prep for the day ahead.
-
Chased the market and the results show.
-
BO to new highs, what will happen next?
-
Passed on a good trade as it was a little close to open for my liking the rest of the day was average.
-
Looks like range trading unless price breaks out.
