Added the NQ/YM to my workspaces last night... starting to trade them daily as of today. Frankly more money is more money, even if its only at 5.00/tick.
-
Thanks for checking into this... see OEC wasn't able to replicate it on all of their machines so its kind of a weird one. Were you able to replicate it using an overlaying indicator such as a moving average?
-
Your the man! Thanks so much!

Bug occurs on every indicator... just add any moving average to the chart then look at the readings in the data box. If the additional fraction is set to 1 it should read something like 13.489 (3 decimals, or 1 additional over the 2 standard), if you change this to 4, it should read 13.4893, etc... But in 3.5 it dosen't appear to work at all and everything gets rounded down to 2 decimal spots.

Can anyone else confirm the Additional Fractional Decimal bug on their computer? Chris @ OEC couldn't replicate it on his machine... Can anyone take a quick 10 seconds to see if its working on their copy of 3.5?

i take losses too! this puppy was textbook but had no intention of giving me any cash today.
-
took two losses today, and my good trade only went +9 (target was +11) and v-reversed in my face so I was left with a tick. Sometimes they just don't fall when they should!

1 trade 1 winner. Textbook entry and exit as per my rule set. I'm not knocking it out of the park like you all or taking 30 trades a day but i'm seeing results. A couple weeks back I revamped my trade plan significantly and the difference (coupled with 110% compliance with my rules at ALL TIMES) has transformed my results. Again, not hitting it out of the park like you all, but I can take being a brick layer as long as its a profitable brick i'm laying. Soon i'll be a brick layer with some size. Cheers!

1 trade 1 winner. Had to hold it for 30 minutes through the chop and bob to get the selloff but I stuck to my rules and was paid for it.

R8 V10 is awesome but I think given the choice I would still go for the LP-560. Normal R8 is still badass but a bit underpowered. Gallardo SL is a fantastic car and I would opt for this over the V8 R8 as well.

had 3 great setups, none went to targets at +11, all stopped and reversed around 8-9 ticks in favor...

had 3 great setups, none went to targets at +11, all stopped and reversed around 8-9 ticks in favor... guess thats just how it falls sometimes. took a couple ticks here and there to cover commissions on the pars.
-
anyone know if OEC changed the 5 pip = 4 pip bar error? All my bars seem to be constant and correct these days on 3.4.0.8?
-
3 Opportunities... only 1 truly capitalized on for a win. Missed one not paying attention, took a high tick +1 on the other before it dropped to target. BLAHHHH today.
-
Found a pooch and then I screwed it HARD today. Friggin' missed a textbook winner for +7, then took another winner that I got high ticked out for 1 tick, then finally caught an actually winner in the 6J. Good god. I haven't missed a trade in over 3 weeks and had a great streak going. Also revising my rules to take either a true breakeven or my winners - no more +1's here and there. I'm not trading for a +1 and while covering commissions is nice, I can cover a hell of a lot more commissions on a +7 than a +1.

7th winning day in a row wasn't to be... and I took two great trades, just kinda got screwed on both of them. not a bad overall loss considering...
-
two trades.... screwed on both.... right on direction each time.
-
Two trades today... frustratingly took a par on one.
-
Well I said I'd post my tiny little results as they came in. Two trades, 1 par, 1 winner at my profit target but I was slipped a tick on entry. No biggie.
-
That a great video... truly one of the best i've seen in a LONG time. Applies almost same logic I do (entries are a bit different) but still, the LH/HL logic is the truth I chase personally.

Awesome job Dinero!!! Congrats on going live! Thats a huge step and a game changer for sure!

Jon - been in the same boat looking at the same info and trying to avoid those exact losses. All I can say is this: 1. The ES sucks monkey balls compared to practically every other futures market available. Due to the constant arbitrage between teh big and small contract backfill is the name of the game much more so than with any other market. 2. I found that range bar charts really cleared up a lot of the mess and "standardized" my trades and risk as it was the same measure of price movement to measure off of most all the time for pars and targets. 3. I would look into using some type of bar count filter or moving average filter to see if the LH/HL is already overextended or if its still got momentum left to play with. 4. I have been using the Value Chart indicator to see if the push upwards into the LH/HL is overextended on the Value Chart. If it is, I kind of see it as having already made the push and not having much left in the gas tank. There is no right answer I suppose... I just also found those losses very annoying and I don't think there is any big right answer. Maybe these suggestions might give you places to look for answers.

I'll start posting my daily results back in here trading 1 lots as I nibble my way back into the markets doing a bit of a litmus test on my new methodology.

I'm not trying to personally bash anyone in here... but the 6B isn't weak by any means... in fact its the second biggest forex futures market and clears about 100k contracts a day. Yes, the CME doesn't have exotic pairings that spot offers, but honestly, for the type of trading I do (targeting 10-15 pips most times) a 9 pip spread on the AUD/JPY or some whack pair isn't going to do me any good to begin with. I would argue that for most daytraders trading futures would be advantageous. Swing trading I can see the advantages of having spot contracts not only for position sizing ease but if your shooting for 300 pips, the 9 pip spread isn't such a factor. I just don't think 90% of the traders out there trade like this and would actually be better served by the futures market IMO.
