  1. Doesn't seem like anyone uses TOS here...... Does anyone has experience withdrawing money from Infinity futures. I have a hard time choosing between TOS and Infinity. I like infinity more due to low margin and lower commission, but they charge some money everytime you need to withdraw. And you have to call your rep whenever you want to withdraw money. I think receiving a check is free but who knows when that is going to arrive?! Anyone has experience withdrawing money from Infinity? I am seeing this as a major hurdle to joining this brokerage. Any ideas? Much appreciated.
  2. Hi! I hope this site and forum are still active.... As most of you would not suggest TOS for trading futures, I wonder if opinions have changed in 2014. I have found a lot of reviews of TOS and comparison to other platforms but all are dated before 2013 or at around 2009.... I have also tried InfinityAT demo, really like the DOM but that's it. The log is messy and there are already other issues that I have to speak with support.... Whereas TOS is very intuitive (except I like the infinity DOM about equally) with integrated charting. Anyhow, I can't test the datafeed on TOS because the demo version is already much slower than the InfinityAT's. The ladder on TOS is so many ticks behind!! Any idea if the real, live trade version is any better in 2014?? Thanks very much in advance.
  3. Just as I thought I understand the price structures of brokerages..... I was checking out Mirus, which has margin structure listed as follow (PERTAINING TO ES ONLY): Initial - 4758 Maintenance - 4325 Intraday - 500 Now I assume that if I trade during the day, the requirement is 500 per contract. But since I will be trading at night (ES), is it going to be 500? I am talking about entering and exiting within a few minutes to an hour of so, but just doing it after the normal market hours (not holding a position across two days). Or it goes back to the initial margin requirement (4758)? Thanks a bunch!
  4. UB, Thank you for the reply. I see the reasoning now. I have just place a test order on thinkorswim and notice now that it has an approx $200 difference between "day" and "night" margin requirement!
  5. Hi All, I am new to Emini and am doing a bit of research on it. I came across this exceptional site and thought I should ask my question here. Pretty sure this is asked before but I could not find the answer doing a search...... When I papertrade with ThinkorSwim, I was always "charged" a margin fee (the $4975) when trading after hours. Since I do not have time to trade during the day time, I wonder if trading at night requires a higher margin? I understand that if you hold a position overnight (i.e. pass 5 pm ish) you have to have 5K ish per contract, but what about entering and exiting a position afterhours? Is this still considered as "intraday"? Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!
