  1. My trading summary today: 12 roundtrips, -9 points, $96.12 realized paper loss.
  2. Paul, I feel I have a strategy. It is to keep trading and learn from trial and error. Over time I expect that I will learn what works and what doesn't. It sounds crude and unacademic but it is simple and gives me peace of mind. One might say it is a qualitative approach.
  3. Thanks Tin. I was away from my trading screen at the time so I missed that. Then I saw that it looked like it was heading down, so I figured it would go to the pivot and I could get a quick scalp out of it. I haven't done any back testing on that theory but I'm keeping an eye on it in real time.
  4. Hello. Asian markets are down, with Nikkei and Jakarata down over 5%. Most European markets are up. Dow is up. The big news is Fed cut the discount rate. Good luck.
  5. Thanks Brownsfan. That's a serious issue with Tradestation. I'm still waiting for a reply to my email to Tradestation and then I will ask them about this problem and direct them to the thread you opened. It is frustrating that they have not fixed it. I'm not a programmer but it seems simple enough to fix. I like to know what their response is. Sometimes these things take time to get through the red tape, unfortunately.
  6. My trading summary today: 16 roundtrips, -52 points, probably miscalculated by a couple of points, realized paper loss off $333.16.
  7. Thanks Brownsfan. That is good to know. I'm seriously considering moving to Tradestation. I sent them an email to ask them some questions about their service. My current IB and Sierra Chart combo is not as good for active trading as Tradestation and other platforms seem to be.
  8. Thanks Tin. You always have such good advice.
