  1. I have also studied Taylor "trading it for about a year about 25 years ago" and Crabel who I still study to this day. What I have discovered is that time based data has a poisonous effect on most methods. If you apply these methods to non time based data such as range bars I think you will find much more consistency.
  2. i started out trading the big 500 point sp's and then 250 and now 50 and mostly that is what i have traded with some bonds mixed in. i have traded many markets about all of them but always come back to the es.
  3. I am especially interested in your screen shots because they are similar in style to something I have been working on as well. Multi data source hidden, variable contract sizing, regime dictated, finessed entry trades. I have also obtained "like you" an honest 5 to 1 profit factor from a model that was originally about a 1 to 1.75 or so (all on 20yrs daily). Just kept at it and logically refining it just as I am sure you have. Congrats! Mark
  4. very nice - would it be possible to put both those screen shots on one screen so i could better line them up and tell the differences? it really looks good. mark
  5. ts like everyone else filters their data - it works like this if a price prints a thousand times the same price the chart will not move until there is a uptick or down tick in the minimum increment. i had a program made that would take tt data and run it natively into ts2000i many years ago and it was astonishing how many ticks during the day the difference was.. mark
  6. i have a new mac 15" retina and am using two external monitors running 2400 dpi but had to go back out to 1920 cause there 2400 was just too fine for me with my eyes. this is my second mac, my first one went out and best buy credited me the full amount back with tax and i upgraded to the 16 gig ram and the 500 ssd love it. mark ps is there some reason my post are all being moderated how long does this go on?
  7. what they now call regime changing - we have always known as switches from trending to non trending. market profile is a good example of this as well. it is very important can't stress it enough, probably one of the leading causes of immediate failure. mark
  8. ok so it would be nice if the mods could put that on the rules that it will take a day or two to get around to spam checking, you know they have software for that. i dont think thats conducive to grow a form but its your sand box OBVIOUSLY. the ole lets label everyone as spam cause just a few are, kind like this gun control thing going around, deny everyone a gun cause on one nut.
  9. wow i cant post all but i can chat crazy round here, lol. i know this post has a rats chance in hell of getting posted anyway.
  10. wondering what the suggestions are for 2400+ res 24-27" monitors might be. i have been looking at of course dell, apple, and samsung. mark
