well it does have a setting for time and snooze function, which might not be enough if you'd like to have require ultra precise timing. Also the tea timer restarts every xx:xx:xx you want it to which is pretty much the same but you need to start the process at the right time. But doesn't matter, since someone is willing to write you a custom app, which will have all the goodies you desire. :yes sir:

JPMorgan in Negotiations to Raise Bear Stearns Bid
Sparrow replied to smwinc's topic in Market News & Analysis
After reading about BSC again I was wondering why did the FED loan JPMorgan 29 billion and not BSC itself? JPMorgan picks up 1B of the tab but the acquisition wasn't necessary at all. -
Sorry I erred in the pip values and I am not allowed to correct the post anymore, 6Y is $12.5 a pip. Also it seems to be 6J ..., it's been a long time since I traded futures.:yes sir:

Hi, Sorry for this off topic question but since you are talking about futures and I am thinking of trading futures once again my spot account allows it(I'm still several months away) I've got following questions: a.) What's the time when over night margins apply, as a scalper I'm very dependent on leverage(max 1:20) b.) Can anyone tell me the average daily volume for Euro 6E, Pound 6B and Yen 6Y - got yesterdays figures: 6E 220K, 6B not available, 6Y 160K, that's about 2-3 contracts/sec of course distribution isn't even throughout the day c.) as far as I know leverage is around 1:100 is that correct? - 6E: $125K, 6B 62,500 BP, 6Y 12,500,000 Yen d.) Sorry I forgot the pip values for 6E, 6B and 6Y, I think for 6E it was $12.5 a pip - 6E: $12.5, 6B & 6Y $6.25 Thanks guys Edit: stopped being lazy and checked what I could find out myself

Hi Nvesta, Check out this site, I haven't bought any data myself but it's not a bad idea. Cheers

Hi Anup, 2. Buy/sell At Market 10,000 Share X. Buy/Sell 10,000 shares at whatever price the market will give you right now no matter if price will go up/down in the meantime 3. Buy/sell 10,000 Share X @ 15.55 Limit. Buy at or below 15.55, Sell at or above 15.55, until your position is 10,000 Shares, you can end up with no or partial fill if price does not spend enough time at the level you desire. No idea about the rest, maybe because I don't trade equities. Cheers Edit: got the limit order wrong, buy at/below and sell at/above

I've just found a cool documentary, it tries to establish a link between astronomy and religion. It's pretty mind blowing and also received an award. The beginning is kinda bit strange but once you get through the first 5 minutes it switches to ordinary documentary style. Check out zeitgeistmovie.com if you're interested. Also features 9/11 and conspiracy stuff ... which might or might not be true. Had to find something to busy myself with because FX is so boring at the moment . Here's the criticism section from wikipedia

External Fibonacci Cluster Identification Tool
Sparrow replied to Sparrow's topic in Trading Indicators
Dunno, experiment. Depends a lot on your instrument, the time frame you trade and probably some more parameters I haven't mentioned. I never used it for anything else than entertainment and feeling smug. -
External Fibonacci Cluster Identification Tool
Sparrow replied to Sparrow's topic in Trading Indicators
pajusa, thanks for the link, I have no idea if she is really trading, with all the writing and seminars she does I guess she'd be well off without it. Since values by fibs don't always match to the pip/tick it's necessary to allow them to be within a range of each other. Let's say you're satisfied with values which are 5 pips apart, for the EURUSD that'd be 0.0005. Maybe that's a better explanation. -
External Fibonacci Cluster Identification Tool
Sparrow replied to Sparrow's topic in Trading Indicators
The most well known 'trader'(?) who uses fib clusters is Carolyn Boroden, there's a presentation by her on CBOT you can also listen to one of her interviews at this site. -
External Fibonacci Cluster Identification Tool
Sparrow replied to Sparrow's topic in Trading Indicators
Hi pajusa, sorry I haven't used in a long while, and as coders are we're not very good at doing documentations if not to say abhor it. As far as i know, insert the fib range numbers in the first 2 columns. Let's assume 1.5330 to 1.5390, the 3rd column is for setting a value within two fib values have to be to produce a cluster. E.g. 0.0003 Hope it makes sense and didn't confuse people even more. The program it is still a very crude, I was just toying with ideas and as fickle as I can be, quickly abandoned them. There's a lot of room for improvement, which I am unfortunately not intending to do. Cheers -
It's possible for NT to write properitary indicators and sell them, you can choose between giving someone your indicators as plain code or a dll. I am sure there are other more professional options available to lock down your code. As for having someone code your strategy, the only thing you can do is have them sign a contract which would make it impossible for them to legally use or pass it on your system. If someone is really determined and they've got the skills and access they'll crack your system/indicators, nothing is really 100% secure.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread but simply didn't know where to put it. If any of you guys likes to watch poker, the High Stakes Poker series is available on youtube. Just got to search for high stakes poker season x episode x there or check this. x being the number you are interested of course. It's really entertaining, and I love to watch it. In the 4th season from episode 11 on the buy in is at least 500k.

Bars Based on Contracts' Volume As % of Open Interest
Sparrow replied to a topic in Technical Analysis
Momentom, I was thinking the same and it should work that way, except for the daily's or higher because open interest changes but you usually are only able to specify a fixed volume. That being said, I doubt you'll be able to find a multi day charting package which can do that. -
Any time a trading product or course claims to be able to let you predict market moves, take your money an run.

Couldn't have said it better mister ed :thumbs up: The asian session in FX usually isn't worth trading, AUD and JPY have the most acceptable spreads and move a bit during that time. There are exceptional days but volatility is very low most of the time. European markets should offer better opportunities for you, unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with asian futures/stocks to make any recommendations.

Since MetaQuotes is so widely used, I can see a lot of their customers requesting such a 'feature'. However faking a screenshot like this doesn't need advanced photoshop skills. Doesn't make a difference to me I have no intention trading with them anyway, although some of them are FSA regulated which makes them more reputable than the rest. As far as I know the CFTA hasn't much to say when it comes to FX.

Thanks for that Szymon, Virtual PC from MS does the same thing and believe it or not it's free (for now?). I'm still reluctant to switch, a prettier desktop does nothing for me, I'm partly a console cowboy so nothing suprising here .

The 888 account is very similiar the 88888 account Nick Leason used, maybe just a coincidence or a hoax . Trading non retail would be very interesting however I'm a few bucks short of 5M non leveraged.

If you'd just like to see if the middle band move up or down on NinjaTrader, simply make the middle band invisible and replace it by some color changing MA. If expanding/contracting volatility is what you'd like to have visualized, that's a different story. ColorMA_v0_9.zip

'Lo pajusa, sorry I've no idea, I've not coded nor am I using it. If there is an error message in your log tab, it's obviously a problem with the code.
