  1. 1. We need the first traverse in order to know Pt 1 of the next traverse? And its Pt 2 must be outside of the previous (first traverse) container. 2. We need to wait for increasing red before this Pt3 is "confirmed"? Heisenberg
  2. I got an expression for you: "The blind leading the blind". Think a bit about that. And that is not a riddle, compared to what you try to write here. No offense. Just trying to be realistic. Heisenberg
  3. Speaking in riddles is a good thing? I don't think so. Heisenberg
  4. Trying to narrow things down, more specifically, what am I looking for? Posts from Spydertrader, gucci or both? thanks, Heisenberg
  5. Thank you for explaining. Clearly you cannot privately mentor everyone here on the forum. But, what I really want to know before I spend/lose another ridiculous amount of time trying to learn the method, is that, starting from fall 2010, really everything is there to learn the method succesfully. Because, if not, I'm not going to waste any more time on this. I already wasted way to much time on learning wrong, incomplete or, God forbid, wrong things. I'm asking because you said "most is there". Otherwise I'd be more than happy to dive in. You were lucky to get support and help outside of this thread, your friends from you, but most of us don't. Just sayin'. Don't get me wrong here, I'm truly happy for you that you did manage to get it. Heisenberg
  6. So you spent a long time working with spyder outside of this thread to understand everything, what makes you think that, for the rest of us, it's going to be sufficient to just reread this thread from fall 2010? You say most is in that discussion, so not everything is there??? Something tells me this is close to mission impossible, but feel free to convince me otherwise. Heisenberg
  7. So if it is a down tape or traverse, where exactly does it start then? Heisenberg
  8. Yes I'm aware that it's not that simple, but can you start from that concept? I'm not sure I correctly understand what the concept of nesting fractals is. Is it enough to say that, for example, a channel contains 3 traverses, and each traverse contains 3 tapes? Sidenote: from what I see in your charts, there aren't always 3 tapes? Sometimes a single tape seems enough. Heisenberg
  9. So if I read this correctly, this is what you do: a. Draw the 3 containers b. Draw the 3 corresponding gaussians c. Now you can see from the volume pane what fractal you've built Heisenberg
  10. I'd say that the trend is not complete yet because we have a higher volume peak(volume increasing). First post of this thread: if Volume is increasing, then the Price Trend is continuing. Heisenberg
  11. Would it be possible that, in the attached chart from jbarnby, the thin line I marked with "A" is the fanned version of the thin line marked with "B"? Thanks, and a Happy New Year to everyone! Heisenberg
  12. In the attached chart from jbarnby, assuming it is correct, we see a down traverse. Let's try to analyse this thing, part by part. I'll apply everything here I have learned from Spyder, Jack and others, but don't assume anything I write is correct. As it's a down traverse, so the first thing we want look for is R2R. The earlyest that a R2R can occur here, is starting from bar 10. As such, I've annotated the attached chart to reflect this. Do note that I "merge" internals (except laterals). For example, I see bar 1 and bar 2 as a single bar. This implies that bar 3 no longer has increasing volume. The following few bars are the 2B, as can be seen in the chart. Next thing: 2R. The next bars start 2R. We draw the traverse, but we have a ve(tape) and a VE(traverse), whom both close outside their corresponding containers. I think this event implies that the traverse is not yet done. We need to shift the fractals. In other words, the traverse becomes the tape.
  13. A small word of warning if you try this to get this to work. If you are going to learn this, and I don't say you shouldn't: It's going to be a bumpy ride. Don't be blinded by the possible rewards. I don't say it cannot be done. Actually I'm convinced it can be done. I've been trying to get it for 5 years, with no results whatsoever. And be sure I am not the only alone that went that road. The ones that did get it I can count on one hand. This being said: I wish everyone that undertakes this journey to have tremendous success!
