Appreciate the responses, however maybe I'm a little dense, but I'm still not clear on what is being described when someone references "the shorts (longs) have washed out"? Could you guys expand on this a bit?

Hi John, First off, just want to say I have been lurking on this site for some time after being turned off by the behaviour on ET. After seeing some of the quality postings on this site from yourself and others I have decided to sign up (btw, really enjoyed your posts on the Is Discipline Enough to Succeed thread, really good stuff). In reference to your last couple posts on this thread, curious what you mean specifically when you refer to imbalances and how does one go about identifying these imbalances?
