if you trade 2 contracts: hardstop = x 1st target = x start traling when x is hit (I use amount x)

I used the Kelly formula and this is my outcome. I would be very hesitating to risk 16% of my account in a trade . Normally I would risk at max 1% in a trade but I'm checking out if there are superior money management strategies.
-
How would this be used with trading futures ? 60% wins, 40% losses, R= 1.25 (incl commissions) So: 0.60 - ( 1 - 0.60 ) / 1.25= 0.20 / 1.25 = 0.16 So risk 16% each time ... How many ES contracts should I trade if I use a 100K account?
-
I watched the movie ... where do you place your stops on that kind of scalps ?
-
How would you guys trade this information ?
-
Do you also hate it when your target is hit exactely by one tick and after that the market goes the other way? If I get stopped, I get stopped. I don't really care what the markets does right after that. One trade by itself is not important, it's the sequence of trades that matters.

Take the trade as the setup appears nomather what the market is doing keep trading untill I hit daily goal 2 losing trades in a row = I stop trading

Can anyone tell something more about the style of JPJ ?
-
Can give an practical example of that formula ?
-
Tony, you have the information you get from MP, but do you look for certain candlestick patterns to enter those trades ?
-
Has anyone ever thought about a Martingale (=if you lose you double your position the next trade) money management? In the long run it seems a bad idea due to the possibility of a losing streak and you can't keep adding contracts. What if you combined it with a strict daily money management? Let's assume the total maximum loss you will take is X and your daily goal is 2X or more.

The "Flip" Trade (support and resistance changing roles)

I still have question about the fliptrades: Will the fliptrade only be valid on the most recent outerband support/resistance level? Or also on 'older' levels, formed earlier during the day? -

I use IB and I don't have tickdata. Has anyone tested this setup with 1-2-3 minute charts? How should you alter the keltnerband to achieve that? -
I've had a free trial ... it tells you nothing! You get access to the room but you only hear the guy yelling You need to take the course (probably?) to understand what he's doing.

I have troubles with understanding the advantage of scaling out. Let's say: I trade 3 contracts. My risk is x ticks, my target is 2 x ticks. total risk = -3x total reward = 6x I trade 3 contracts. Risk = x, 1st target = x, 2nd =1.5x, 3th 2x total risk = 3x total reward = 4.5x Is the advantage of the partial profits greater than the smaller risk/reward ratio in the long run?

Anyone interested in online real-time chat of MP during market hours?

What kind of risk vs reward ratio do you guys use on this setup ? -
Tony, if price is above VH ... would you initiate only long trades in that case?
-
Do you mean the MP that is developping during the trading day? If so, when would you initiate the first possible trade (in the beginning of the day it quite meaningless I assume) ?
-
Tony why did you change from ES to YM? Can you explain how you change your trading style depending on the position of price versus the VA?
-
700 $ -> 1000 $ -> ...

Hi, what are the setting of those channels? you only take long trades in the upper channels? -
Let's imagine the following: you want to scalp ES (or another indexfuture) & your target is between 2 & 6 ticks. You use the 3' chart as your entry timeframe. How would you determine the direction of your scalps for the highest probability of possitive outcome (parabolic sar, crossing ma's, other timeframes, ...). I would like to know your opinion
-
For the guys who trade the YM ... I read that placed stops are placed locally and not directly in the market (vs ES placed directly in the market). Does this not concern you as a trader?
-
I trade the ES but I'm not a scalper. I was wondering what kind of entry techniques scalpers use (tape reading, candlestick patterns,...)? Is profitable scalping possible with a risk/reward <1 ? Who has expierience with scalping (target 2-6 ticks) and wish to share his/her experience!
