  1. yes I'm with you except for two issues. 1. I still don't understand, nor have seen in the many threads on this, why or where a P2 is re- positioned backwards in order to contain all price action. This would alter the concept of VE's would it not? 2. As the 10.05 OB has indeed BO of the Orange RTL, then why do we have thin g's from 10.05 ? Is it a definitive that we will always have thin g's? It has often been shown (annotated) that this is not so. In other words, why are those thin g's not medium, which is essentially the debate regarding how/why/where are we to understand what fractal the guassian is to be annotate as. Indeed, if it was the case that the first x2x that BO of an equal weighted RTL, that we see in real time was always to be annotated as thin g's and there after we would build the nested dom and non-dom legs as you described, non of us would be in confusion ! many thx savarez for your continued feedback and help.
  2. the only way I can see the Olive P2 being correct on the 10.10 bar (where Spydertrader put it) is if the (x2x), B2B started at the 9.55 bar, being decreasing volume to increasing black volume through that 10.05 IBGS,OB. Seeing that we only have an orange RTL that price has BO of on that 10.05 OB, this would then put a P2 of the same fractal as orange outside the orange RTL and so give us an Olive (same fractal as Orange) P2 at 10.10. This however, if correct, would lead to me asking the question why do we have a faster (thin) guassian at all from the 10.05 bar? as that snippet stands, we have an Olive P2 at 10.10 before any B2B has been completed/annotated.? !!
  3. ... but why would the method of constructing 3 levels of g's from thin to thick alter over time? Has the way "binary" is defined or used altered? and if so then how is that determined? Is this so confusing because I'm just stupid ?
  4. thx again savarez. so the annotations on that chart are essential wrong? We should only have a thin b2b2r2b2r2b, and only a medium B2B and only a think B (the first B of B2B)? re: #4. If an x2x (b2b here) gets us to a P2 then wouldn't the Olive P2 need to be where the thin b2b ends , being 11.05 now that we're saying the medium B2B g's should be thin ? Wouldn't a P2 need to be correctly positioned in order to see if we have a VE of the LTL? In other words if the Olive P2 was positioned where the thin b2b ends (11.05) then subsequent price bars at 11.15 and 11. 20 would have VE'd its LTL, which in turn would determine subsequent containers ? I don't understand the logic of selecting a "previous" bar (10.10) to place a P2 so that it encompasses price action "now". gucci, thx for posting that Spydertrader chart snippet to begin with and the subsequent questions, but if the majority of the annotations on that snippet are incorrect could you help explain the questions you gave and give any answers? Any help in understanding how to determine fractals is profoundly appreciated. Everything seems to hinge on this understanding..thx
  5. Thx for the reply savarez. apologies I see you mentioned this in your p# 2216 but to be frank, I'm non the wiser.. so what are we saying here? 1. the thin guassians are wrong because they don't end at 10:30? 2. the medium g's are wrong because it's P3 needs to be outside it's RTL (Olive)? 3. the Olive RTL and LTL is actually the container for the medium B2B g's and not medium B2B2R2B ? 4. although the Olive Ltl should start where the Blue P2 is at 11.20 because a B2B gets us to a P2? 5. the thick g's are wrong because they should be medium? how are we to understand how/where/when to annotate thin g's ? confused: thx
  6. the suggestion might be that when we have a VE we (edit) have pushed the P2 of that container furthr out so will need to have a NEW P3 and there for a new RTL ?
  7. Hi patrader. if the olive is the medium container why is it's P2 at the 10:10 bar ? Shouldn't the medium P2 be at the 11:00 bar, where the medium B2B ends ? PS: Also shouldn't the medium B2B (P2) actually end on the 11.05 bar as it makes a higher high than the 11.00 bar?
  8. Does anyone have an answer to #1 ? Also wouldn't the medium fractal P3 need to be outside the thin fractals RTL ? ie: if a B2B2R gets us to a P3, why is the medium P3 (at 11:10) inside the thin b2b2r2b (Olive) RTL ? Also if the Olive RTL is the thin fractals RTL then where is the medium level P1 to P2 container (rtl)? Wouldn't the medium fractal P3 need to be outside its medium level P1 to P2 container (RTL) ? hope that makes sense and appreciate any help.

  10. The biggest reason for not profiting from trading is in essence because, from the physicality of the market/trade to the mind of the person making the trade, almost everything is a contradiction. The greatest of which is money. Hence, we trade to make money but it's the last thing we should be trading for or thinking about. Regards...
  11. Apologies Thales. I had included, in my post, quotes from your comments re: fibs/zones/degree of swing etc..? "Something like this" was in reference to whether I was understanding (however broadly) what you had kindly explained there in. With respect to supply zone becoming resistance zone and how fibs may assist in a degree of swing we might expect. Also how a swing may be seen within an appropriate degree (context) ? Still much to learn. Thx and kind regards
  12. Thales. Thank you for your detailed reply. Your thoughts and experience are much appreciated. You've mentioned some interesting things whilst keeping to a core simplicity. My thinking is that if I (anyone) can maintain the PT1 being reached consistently, then it would imply [Edit] that the 123 was being seen/taken in the right context "degree" which is good. It's easy to overlook what we do do well. Perhaps managing the trade without bias and enough flexibility to not be fixated by our expectation. Not losing sight of what we're within, the larger picture. To build upon that, I shall think hard on your suggestions. Many thanks..and kind regards to you.
  13. Thx for taking the time to reply and explain so quickly. I'm finding PT1's are being reached consistently. Managing the trade in terms of PT2 and PT3 is an issue for me. At these times they often conflict with seeing contrary trades. How can I best explain what I want to say here? Is it more a matter of determining what's been referred to as the "degree" of a move? ie: the contrary trade we see may be a retrace trade within the larger move we are in. Such that we would decide to sit through it, all be it taking the "chance" that the original (or adjusted) stop is hit, in order to stay in for Pt2 and PT3? Or close out everything and re-set the machine, so to speak? In terms of every new trend starting with a 123. I'm trying to learn how best to approach this, assuming I've explained it. Appreciate your thoughts when ever you have time. I've read through the thread so apologies in advance if this has been covered before. Thx
  14. Thales. Many thx for the contribution here. Question if I may to help me understand things. Your long trades (post#3413). You went long at the dashed blue line? and then again at the solid blue line? Moved the blue dashed entry stop as per the red dashed line? Then you moved solid blue long stop to BE (red solid line)? Your red dashed stop was then hit? Your solid red stop was then hit? And then post# 3439 was a set up for a new trade long? Many thx
  15. "reload historical data" will be greyed out when/if you are not connected. (via File/Connect). Connect first. You can then select this option and the chart will be backfilled. "Repair Data Base" should be done when not connected. HTH
