I am glad you reported on this problem because I discovered the same "undocumented" issue in TS 8.5. What I have discovered is that you cannot draw TrendLines and Text within the same block of code, e.g., an -if-then-else block of code. Your solution of writing two programs is the only way to do it (as far as I know). mr_p
