  1. Tim, thanks, I will check out Infinity Futures. CMA
  2. This is a great headstart for me. So you are saying that one can get a free ES feed on some platforms. Other equity tradeables, like TF and Nasdaq, are not free?
  3. Roztom, for the last 20 years, I've been trading stocks for myself and as an investment advisor. I'm looking to get into trading ES or TF. Is there a reasonably priced charting program with Market Profile that you would recommend? Are there FCMs I should be looking at for ES or TF?
  4. Roztom: I traded mostly the Muni bonds and also the Major Market Index. Some of the best tracders I knew at the CBOT were actually screen traders: they could focus more on the market and less on pit issues. The disadvantage to upstairs trading of course was that if you were a decent sized trader, you missed getting the edge on order flow. I arrived in 9/1986 so we may have overlapped.
  5. I was at the CBOT probably after you were there. As I recall, Peter's assistant who taught the Market Profile classes was Sherri Buyer.
  6. Roztom: Thaks for the very interesting perspective. I was a member of the CBOT from 1986-88. Peter Steidlmayer's assistant gave a weekly class on Market Profile for interested CBOT members. Very occasionally, Steidlmayer himself would give a class, which would draw a big crowd. One of the surprising takeaways, for me at least, from one of his presentations, was that markets rarely fully discount new information all at once; that markets ususally underdiscount new information at first; and then take time to fully incorporate the information into pricing. The other-time-frame (off-floor) participant would collectively take days, if not weeks, to fully discount major new bullish or bearish developments. I realize my comment is not directly related to tomorrow's day trade in ES, but Steidlmayer had an powerful insight on the issue of the market's discounting of news.
  7. Mike, thanks for the recommendation. I checked their website, but unfortunately no financial information available. Do you use Velocity?
  8. I'm interested in trading the stock index mini futures, especially the TF (Russell 2000 mini futures). I would appreciate FCM recommendations (not IB--could never reach anyone on the phone) with emphasis on financial security (firm capital) and customer service. Thanks, CMA
  9. Index Trader, I looked around for Big Mike's Traders forum and could not find it. Is that within the E-mini futures trading section? Thanks, CMA
  10. MAE is what I saw on one of the charts: Maximum average excursion? Did all these stats come with your trading platform for your to fill in; or did you create the stats from scratch?
  11. I love your flexibility and willingness to stay with your main theme for the day (upside breakout). What are the two time frames in the two trading windows and and what the trading platform?
  12. With such favorable stats, and very reasonable drawdowns, aren't you inclined to increase trade size?
