Overnight limit is 5% - RTH first limit is 10% The % is calculated at the start of each quarter, hence a hard point limit of 70 points (overnight mkt) which is slightly more than 5% at current prices ... The limits during RTH, in case we need them today :-) are 140 points (the 10% limit) 280 points (20%) 420 points (30%)

OK James - what I have done so far is pretty basic stuff, certainly a lot of room for improvement. -

Here is one of my favourite posts from PivotProfiler, putting it all in a nutshell. Post#1181 on the VSA thread. -

Well, we can get it started here - the great thing is there is so much good material it is just a matter of highlighting the best. Start with this from PivotProfiler (going to be important to correctly attribute this information to those that posted it), which walks through the process of setting a short trade: Post #1331 on the VSA thread - combining VSA with WRB analysis. -
True ... but then again I pay for a bottle of Fly Spray cause I am not adept at swatting them...:haha:

Thanks BF - that was going to be my 'easy' request - we are obviously thinking along the same lines, I find that moving DOM very frustrating indeed...be good to get an indication of what the extra cost would be, could be worth it?

Great James My suggestion is to keep it in this section - the Premium Forum - there is plenty of info on the VSA thread, an FAQ here that acts as a summary is a value-add for members who have subscribed? -
I am sitting here laughing and cringing at the same time - unfortunately from recognition. Also -entering the wrong side/price at which to deal, the software asks you to check it - stupid software, of course its right, hurry up ....... ohhh ...... not so stupid software.

Fourth screenshot (explanation in my prior post)
-
BF - here are some examples. The EBS screen/keyboard is used in the interbank FX market, it is a dedicated dealing system hence a the keyboard and screen are stand-alone units, working together. The first screenshot is of the screen The second screenshot is a zoom of two of the price panels on the screen with some explanation The third screenshot is the keyboard All the screenshots are from the EBS website and hence a lot of the annotations are theirs, but I have added my annotations to (theirs are the professional-looking annotations!). The fourth screenshot (on next post) is a suggestion for the basics that would probably need to be on an OEC screen - it is similar to their current DOM trading screen, with a couple of differences, biggest being the DOM does not scroll, the best price remains fixed in the centre at all times. (This could be a starting point for suggestions to them for improvement).

OK BF - example screenshots coming.

Hi PP - Game enough to give it a try and smart enough to warn that all answers on a 'best endeavours' basis! Don't know that I am knowledgeable enough but could be a good team effort PP? -
We are all familiar with the great Volume Spread Analysis thread, I thought what I would do here is just highlight some of the information on it, just to make it easier find here rather than on the big thread. Pivot Profiler provided coding for the VSA indicators he used in this post. It is post #1319 on the VSA thread. jjthetrader has researched the logic behind the TradeGuider volume bands and posted the results on this post. He also attached the ELD for his result to this post. Post #51 of the "REQ Help with Trend Indicator" thread. The Master The Markets book is available for download and printing here.

You will only get honest answers here - but remember everything you hear will be an opinion, not an answer. Some will say Yes to get it, some will say No, and each will have good reasons specific to him or herself. You are going to have to decide for yourself. Why don't you read through this thread and you will get an idea of how and how not TG may or may not be useful to you. After that, my understanding is the firm offers a 30-day money back guarantee. Without commenting on the software this seems to be a most generous offer that should allow you to make a well-informed decision.

Hi BF and James - thanks very much BF, great idea, I have an idea/request - might be a bit "out there" and might have to be a longer-term project (although tomorrow would be good ) It is for a simple trading keyboard that links in with OEC software. "Buy" button, "Bid" button, "Sell"/"Offer" etc. This might be too much wishful thinking, but a dedicated, small trading keyboard, specifically linked in to the broker software is so much easier to use than a regular keyboard/mouse combination. I can post a picture of the sort of thing I would like if you think it is a good potential suggestion - again, might be a bit over the top? I am thinking along the lines of an EBS keyboard/screen combo (used in spot FX).

PP - this programming you have done must represent many, many hours of work ... to just post it on the forum is extremely generous ... can I be the first to thank-you. On a practical note, these formulae will work in Metastock, might require a little playing with but the logic and language is the same.

Well, I did a search and I couldn't find a thread for jokes...so here goes. I got this one from my Dad a few days ago and enjoyed it. ------------------------------------------------- WHY MEN DON'T WRITE ADVICE COLUMNS Subject: WHY MEN DON'T WRITE ADVICE COLUMNS Dear Phil,: I hope you can help me here. The other day I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't gone more than a few hundred yards down the road when my engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was parading in front of the wardrobe mirror dressed in my underwear and high-heel shoes, and he was wearing my make up. I am 32, my husband is 34 and we have been married for twelve years. When I confronted him, he tried to make out that he had dressed in my lingerie because he couldn't find his own underwear. But when I asked him about the make up, he broke down and admitted that he'd been wearing my clothes for six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. I don't feel I can get through to him anymore. Can you please help? Sincerely, Mrs. Sheila Lusk Dear Sheila: A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the jubilee clips holding the vacuum pipes onto the inlet manifold. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the carburetor float chamber. I hope this helps. Phil

Dick Dastardly ... love it! Muttley must be around somewhere too. I am no computer expert but I think there are a couple of things to try to get the presentation working properly for you. Check you have a recent version of Windows Media Player - at least version 9. If it still doesn't work you may need to download some codecs. I tried a Google search for "wmv audio no video" and found a few places to get up to date codecs so give that a try. Let us know how you go.

dandxg - I will take the liberty of answering on PPs behalf (he will be along to correct me if need be!) - he wrote them himself for his charting platform. Earlier on in this thread PP generously shared the coding for the indicators he had written up - it is in here somewhere! From memory the coding is in Metastock format, but if you do not have Metastock the coding is very logical and understandable so it can be reproduced on some other platform. hope this helps

Wow James - that was quick. The new section is also going to be a great learning tool for those wanting to learn more about computers too - thanks v much.
