  1. Ok, after looking some more, I can see what your looking at. Would you happen to have an intraday chart of possibly a few days worth of data? thanks
  2. gassah, How does standard deviations help you with your trading? I can possibly see them as profittaking areas but haven't put any time into their usefullness.
  3. what i see strong support - 1359-1360 levels - 1367, 1374 strong resistance - 1377
  4. easy in hindsight. not really too hard in real time either
  5. Support was 1317, but then again thats subjective to some.:o
  6. yeah, but....that first upthrust on your chart didn't show any weakness. On the swing upto resistance, price hadn't even made a lower low.
  7. Personally, I use market profile levels with an emphasis given to more recent levels.(traders have good memories but not that good )
  8. It was a blanket comment, not meant to insinuate anything or anyone. I quite enjoy your perspective as it helps me see what others are seeing. good trading
  9. Here's the gamut of s/r I'm using for today. Chop zone 1334-1344.Resistance 1352,60,74. Support 1325,17,10 Zeon, I agree with you. I don't like the subjectivety of hand drawn s/r. Having said that, they are just lines on a chart. I just keep asking myself the same question...are buyers showing strength? or weakness? or better yet....are buyers accepting or rejecting these price levels?
  10. Here's how you can do it in Sierra. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?file=doc_ChangingFuturesContract.html
  11. I also have 1348-1358 as chop zone, with 1375 as a great target if price breaks through 1358. my only difference with your numbers is that I see support at 1337. good trading
  12. It would seem that you have formed some opinions on the above. I for one would be interested in hearing about them.
  13. lack of supply in an up move and lack of supply in a down imo, are two totally different context's., thus the link to post 209 of this thread.
  14. I'll have to go with (b) but it all comes down to context. Compare your chart to this one : http://www.traderslaboratory.com/forums/34/vsa-volume-spread-analysis-part-ii-3428-6.html#post31133 What is similar and what is different? How do you define supply? demand? fear? greed? If you were long, would you be selling or buying more? If you were short would you be covering, reversing, or adding to your short position? what is value? Don't you hate when others answer questions with more questions:confused:. Welcome to trading!
  15. So you believe 'true' s/r has to be accompanied by volume(action). Does the amount of time price stays at a particular level/zone/area irregardless of action hold any s/r for you? Does price/volume s/r that happens overnight come into your s/r calculations? Do you include "news announcement" volume in your calculations? good post.
  16. Some longer term context. http://www.raymondjames.com/inv_strat.htm http://prudenttrader.com/pt/content/view/479/1/
  17. No not at all, just having a little fun. I've read most of your work and found value in some of it and I can appreciate the time you put into it. Please don't be offended if and when I question some of your posts. After all thats what makes a market.Cheers
  18. Prolly broke a support line from the year 2000. hehe:rofl:
  19. Buyers had already bought. This morning's action was seeing if their was any more sellers. There wasn't anymore SO, back up we go.
  20. Perhaps you should take your profit quicker. Also I see that you have drawn in a resistance line but yet, I don't see any support lines on your chart. A trader that I respect once told me "The market gives you what you want". It took me a long time to figure out what he meant.Hopefully, it won't take you so long.
  21. "Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true." - Buddha
