Obsidian replied to Jack Francisco's topic in Beginners Forum
chances of making 10 mistakes to blow your account and making 10 profitable trades to double your account are equal in theory...but you see more losers than winners -

Now new traders got more tools to learn...I am not talking about indicators-books-web sites only... I think analyzing your traders help you to understand yourself...Checking statistical facts on your trades definitely would help you... the pairs you trade..the pair that you are more successful...trading durations..average of winning and loser trades...getting all these type of info is so easy now...so use it
-
when you inspect-learn trading strategies, study their behavior as well... moving average crossover for example would generate too many false signals when the market is flat, so you may want to integrate it with ATR (average true range) or a similar indicator... if you master the tools you are using, you will pick the right ones when you need...

prices are just numbers, follow the trend..you will often see that yesterday's high is today's low (or yesterday's low is today's high)

it is ironic that just a couple of days before the Spain called for help, Draghi was saying that the market should be confident about the eurozone... maybe I am blind and can't see but I think many EU governments are inefficient and ineffective... In addition, austerity measures alone will not get Greece back on its feet..or Portugal, Ireland or Spain...

noone blames politicians or economists because their main duty is to lie...do you really believe someone would spend six digit $$ just to serve their country  I personally believe who lend Greece a cent more is crazy but the market does not care what I think...hope is our strength and weakness...

bulls and bears are hammering each other... till it makes a close above 1627, selling might be a better idea...
