bored forex traders? anyway, since I am here, some info for beginners: -How much in dollars is this movement worth, for example, per 100,000 Euros in EUR/USD? (one pip, with proper decimal placement / currency exchange rate) x 100,000 (.0001/1.2550) x EUR100,000 = EUR 7.97 But we want the pip value in USD, so we then must multiply EUR 7.97 x (EUR/USD exchange rate): EUR 7.97 x 1.2550 = $10

I am not saying anything different  besides there was nothing I could do..it was full moon so there was a nice gold rally...that pushed aud/usd up... for today I do not think there will be enough volume to push higher...the bears are camping at 1.0300 p.s. I prefer if/then sentences

I read an article about people expecting .75 cut within 12months. my guess is .25 may not be enough to reverse. However, 1.0250/70 zone is an important area, if cant pass it, we will test 1.0175 imvho

There were news about Finland and Netherlands will block ESM bond buying in secondary markets. I think I won't be touching EUR/USD till ECB rate announcement.

EU Deal for Spain, Italy Buoys Markets but Details Sketchy
Obsidian replied to jacobfx's topic in Market News & Analysis
they are just buying time... two things come to my mind... will the ESM/EFSF have enough capital? how will this help to Portugal, Spain, Greece etc? how about growth, unemployment in those countries...even if they could find money at 0%, they can't pay their debt when the country produces much less than it consumes -
Guess things depend on the situation. I can say that studying the charts make such decisions easy. During the weekends I go over the charts again and mark important levels. I calculate possible entry levels (also sl, tp, sar levels). If you have a plan each time you open a position, it would be easy for you

When I traded stocks I had a list of companies which I studied well...I would trade those only... There were times that I tried to dive in the waters that I don't know, usually ended up with a loss...then I never traded an instrument which I didn't know it well... I trade on forex market now but I still follow that rules...I monitor around 20 pairs and trade those only...If they are not moving, I simply wait...
