I agree that focusing on a single variable may be misguiding. A strategy with %99 accuracy may evaporate your trading account. isn't putting so much emphasis on "how much you are you making" the same? saying that I make X amount in Y time brings so many questions. I think when new traders evaluate a trading system, they should check: -initial investment size -leverage -win/loss rate -average win&lose -how long you have been using this system -duration of trades -average profit per week-month -max consecutive winning trades & losing trades in my very humble opinion....
-
unfortunately, I totally disagree

it seems going long is safer at this point as 1660 is possible. I wouldn't short till I see a strong bearish candle.
-
above 1.2440, intra-day trading strategy will change from sell on rallies to buy on dips
-
thinking of going long around 1.5750/60 (wherever the pair meets 34ema) with targets 1.5820&1.5885.
-
bounced from bottom of the channel but clouds are slowing it down...buying pressure will increase above 1.0535
-
that type of news belongs to "miracle of the decade" section I guess
-
-decide what time frame would you like to use -create a system with a proper risk/money management -practice and master your system -while practicing, prepare yourself for unexpected movement. make sure you have a plan before you click buy-sell button

Hi BlueHorseshoe, I used "before" for 2 years I guess. I was using that template to trade gbp/usd. It was ok but not accurate as much as I wanted. it was generating signals against the main trend so I started searching for something more simple. Because I also wanted to trade other pairs instead of focusing only one (it is pretty boring to trade only one pair when it goes flat). Then I switched to ichimoku as you see on the "after" chart.

I don't like trading usd/jpy (as my TA sucks when it comes to this pair) but I think about longing around 79.20 (if seen) targeting 81.40 with a stop at 78.40...any thoughts?
-
sinking as expected this week, if it bounces, I will be looking for a bearish candle around 1.0370
-
I think a break below 1.0390 would take us to 1.3020...but if it bounces from there, the bulls will try to reach 1.0465 or even 1.0493...
