  1. speaking of distraction, i had a similar problem when i stared learing how to trare. i was not well prepared, therefore i was giving instant decisions. or i was missing good entry points while i was checking the forums for systems-tips etc. what i did was: -picked a system to follow (i was interested in price patterns, candlesticks and breakout) -i studied historical charts to build a plan. -i was examining the charts during the weekends to plan possible trades. i would mark possible formations, trend lines etc. next i would decide entry-exit-stop levels. i would mark these levels on the charts in order to give sudden and wrong decisions. once i labeled everything on the charts, the chaos was gone.

The manipulation is everywhere..but in fx, at least you are aware of it..centrals banks and their policies of course affect currency pairs..some can control it, EUR/CHF 1.20 floor for example...some just cant, USD/JPY for example...anyway, I think technical analysis works better when the volume (i.e. the number of participants) is real high..
  7. to learn how to hit %100+ in a couple of weeks, I may pay six digit figures...in thai baht of course
  8. it was no surprise that german court did not rule against esm...that would be like burying their dream with their own hands...guess we will see real fireworks if fed does not give hint about qe3... shorted aud, eur and gbp...small positions with with tight stops...

hmm what made me move to fx..well, there are less instruments to focus on, trading hours allow me to trade while i am at home (since i live in asia, i can trade during the london session without any distraction) and i can rely more on technicals (hard to manipulate compared to stocks)...

I think what method we choose to learn or apply to generate trading ideas should be releated to instruments/time frame as well... Yes technical analysis was easier for me to learn, but there were times that I made my decisions according to fundamentals...however that was long term investment on the stock market...I used fundamentals to pick the promising ones and then used technical analysis to decide where to enter and when to exit... now trading currencies, and I just use technical analysis because I dont hold positions for months anymore...
  19. investing on bananas... why you shouldn't be a bull in a bear market....
