What is your definition of a Tape, Traverse and Channel? As Spyder said it does not matter what you call them, goats, cows or whatever.

This is pretty funny. Vegas was years ago, what have you been doing since then? Did you run out of rations and finally exit your bunker? Why have you not posted on this forum in the past and shared information? Operation "vacuum" is over and now you need help. Welcome to everybody's else's world on this forum, you no longer have to live in a vacuum.

Human nature, everyone wants a free lunch. No one wants to work for the holy grail. Spyder made everyone work for their lunch.

There are a lot of people that use pieces of the method.

Todd spoke about that. He felt de-gap from the previous close to the open was sufficient. I have attache DB's de-gapped chart.

Jack has pulled the plug on ET after moderator "Magna" deleted all his posts. Sad day for ET

Jack always calls the side of the market on the open. He has always done so. After losing 3 points from the open I would also change my sentiment. "Monday open is long" means buy on the open. Jack is binary not "well sentiment is long, so lets see" He has a 50% chance of being right Just my 2c worth http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3765655#post3765655

This is new stuff that he has come up with. In his document "Channels For Building Wealth" there is nothing like this. If you look through the ET thread, it looks like it dates back a year or so for this type of method.

Thanks for that. I finally get it. The penny has dropped. It was the "walk forward" in the volume pane that did for me.

m1m2 is over one to two bars not a range of bars. For example if looking at a single bar case; part of the bar would be black and the other part would be red.

Look up m1,m2 There used to be a thread on ET called "The Documents by Jack Hershey" and "Iterative Refinement" It looks like all of Spyders threads on ET are gone. An m1,m2 resolves a VE, after a VE you expect a non-dom and then back to dom. You can post on ET and Jack will respond with an explanation. He lives for this stuff HTH

I am not sure what the hmm is for. Once again it is software coding. TN uses a library of Spyders tools. There is no mystery around this. If the second bar of the stitch has lower volume the software highlights this. Remember the second bar of a stitch has higher volatility (range) , so you expect the volume to be higher. HTH

I not sure how you get the data going back that far.

Something to think about: A fractal is a mathematical set that has a fractal dimension that usually exceeds its topological dimension[1] and may fall between the integers.[2] Fractals are typically self-similar patterns, where self-similar means they are "the same from near as from far".[3] Fractals may be exactly the same at every scale, or, as illustrated in Figure 1, they may be nearly the same at different scales.[2][4][5][6] The definition of fractal goes beyond self-similarity per se to exclude trivial self-similarity and include the idea of a detailed pattern repeating itself.[2]:166; 18[4][7] Fractal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia HTH

patrader, sorry for confusing you with an A-Team member. I had a look through this thread and can see you have been working on this for years. Like others struggling , “Stay motivated” It is good to review the basics and fundamentals like you did with internals. However, don’t overcomplicate things. If you are getting stuck with the fractal drill, reverse engineer it. (What isn’t it?) HTH

patrader, nicely done. Are you able to determine what the above is? (tape, traverse or channel)

patrader, as an assignment use the picture attached and place your pt1,p2 and p3 of your different fractals in respective places. You may have an "aha" moment. HTH Credits go to Nkhoi

patrader, it is probably worth your while re-reading this thread. Sypders constantly reminds us to focus on the volume pane. The price pane is where we like to look since that is where the profits reside, however the sequences lie in the volume pane. HTH

I have done a search on ET and cannot find those charts you have posted by Jack, or are they by Jack? I was under the impression Jack uses TN since he has mentioned it a number of times and recently went to their convention.
