Thank you very much for posting these Brown...I have to say that these are among the most powerful photos I've ever seen. As a former Marine, these pictures hit very close to the heart....just incredible VV

hey guys, I am new to this posting thing so please bear with me if I don't get it quite right the first time (trying to become a reformed 'lurker'). I am very intrigued by Wolfe Waves, and been trying to learn about them for the past few days. I would like to post a 4 minute chart on todays YM. The 4 minute TF is new for me (usually use 1 & 2 min), but wanted to try something new - swings instead of scalps maybe. I drew this WW in real time on the 1120 (central) bar. As indicated on the chart, 13840 looked like a good entry so I entered a limit order at that level. Based on the WW that I drew, I realize that looks to be a bit early/high, however, it looked like I would only take about 9-10 ticks of heat on the failure of this pattern. As it turned out, it missed me by 2 ticks, no big deal as I was happy that I was able to see this in real time and it appeared to be a valid pattern to me, UNLESS....my perceptions on this particular chart are completely wrong. I have some limited experience with various markets but I consider myself a beginner at trading and I would be grateful for any feedback on this. Thank you very much, VV

brown, in pokerstars lobby, login of course, click 'requests', then 'find a player' who you are looking for. I have tried this as i've not had a need to find anyone. I usually am in the 5/10 pot limit hold 'em. For a long time I would make good money/chips here and then lose them all at the 100/200. Now I spend most of my poker time at the 5/10 PL. The interesting thing to me is that I go through periods of 'draw down' just like one would see in trading, but I always seem to bounce back. I guess thats why I like the 5/10 - still can make money/chips with limited risk to your main stack. hope this helps and hope we can get a few people together for some friendly poker. won't quite be the same though w/o the whiskey and cigars but fun none the less....I'm in if you'll allow me VV - atcneo

thank you James I am here to learn, and I guess that makes me a lurker, and I'm sorry if that is a problem for some. I would love to be able to contribute here and hope to have something to contribute someday, but I still have a lot to learn. I have tried to contribute in some other ways by becomeing a premium member in hopes of defraying some of James costs, and giving $150 to the leukemia walk. I realize that this pales in comparison(to say the least) to the contributions made here by Soultrader, Brownsfan, WalterW, Torrero, Reaver, just to name a few. It is not my desire to 'leech' off of you guys at all, but, to me this forum is a large part of the gateway to get to where I want to be, trading for living/business. You guys are there now, and I will get there - hopefully WITH you guys. I am very grateful for this forum, and hope to contribute when I've earned the 'right' to so. Thanks to all! VV (I only mention the monetary contribution to humbly illustrate my attempts to give to something worthwhile - it is easy to give money away, more of a challenge to earn it I think - sort of like respect maybe)

I could not find a way to have a private game on Pokerstars. But, I think if we have a set time, and the right number of people to fill a table(s), we could just occupy one or more of the open tables...would be fun, but not private. An okay book for poker, 'Zen and the Art of Poker: Timeless Secrets to Transform Your Game ', happens to be a popular read for traders. I really like the this idea as a great way to possibly get to know some people here and just have fun! I have tried many poker sites and like pokerstars best, I dont know why really, perhaps just the interface. VV btw, I am 'atcneo' on Pokerstars , some people call me 'river rat' for some reason, I don't know why:rolleyes: , if you want to look me up

Introduce Yourself Here - Don't Be Shy!!
vae victis replied to trading4life's topic in Beginners Forum
Hi all good people of the TL forum. It is time for me to officially introduce myself on this forum. I have been reading this forum for some time now and I am very thankful to all y'all who contribute so much here. I am an air traffic controller in Texas and have taken up trading to help me relax:doh: I have a little less than 5 years left of my 'sentence' and will be trading to keep me busy. My primary focus was on the ER2 until they moved and now trying to learn the YM. I hope to someday be able to contribute something to this forum, but I have a lot to learn. Thanks folks, Vae Victis- 2024 replies
