    SentiTrade is a computer linguistic software that automatically interprets tonality in financial news. Our indicator is to get an overview of current market sentiment and warns of exuberant optimism and conversely, point out opportunities created by exaggerated pessimism.

    How it works?
    First, SentiTrade reads information from an aggregate of validated financial news sources. Next, the tool determines whether the information is positive or negative (that's the computer linguistic part) and finally, we calculate the ratio between positive and negative news items. In effect, SentiTrade puts a specific number value on the different states of market psychology.

    I agree with you in that there are times when "the trend is your friend", however, there clearly are instances when the market psychology goes bananas, being either overly positive or conversely irrationally negative. These are the times when you have to dare to be contrarian. To paraphrase Warren Buffet: Dare to invest when the market is fearful and be very careful when you smell greed. Cheers, Kris
