I have no experience with amibroker / portfolio backtesting. Would you be able to test: select the best 3 performing etfs for last 6 months (trailing), sell only when the top 3 drop out of the top 50% of performers. Perform this monthly.

Will you be going over this type of investing/trading in addition to the material you currently presented? I would be interested in seeing some insight...

You created a thread rotating ETFs. I was wondering if the concept could be applied to rotating the strongest stocks within the strongest Equity ETFs. Thanks for the links.

Hi do or die, I have been trading some variation of CANSLIM with technicals for around a year at this point. Sector rotation with ETFs is interesting and has been validated through many different groups of people (as you mentioned) backtests. What I am wondering is, to catch the large return potential of equities in the CANSLIM universe, could one employ a top down rotation strategy rotating every month into the top 3 sectors and within each sector into the top 1 or 2 stocks? Looking forward to a reply as well as recomendation where I can obtain any relevant literature. Thanks.

I have a quick question regarding PRV. Pardon me if this is a concept that is too remedial for this thread. If it is, I am happy to hold off on it while I search for it myself. Is there a "too early" to use PRV. Obviously, at the start of every bar we have people who initiate due to various systems. This is especially true for the start of day where things "synch" up. Therefore, is there perhaps a certain threshold one should be using of DU for instance (if trading stocks) so that these effects are countered? This is not mentioned in journals one nor journal 2 on the equities thread so maybe this is a non-issue completely. Obviously, its not a pre-requisite.

Hello everyone! It is a great opportunity to have found this thread to see others who are on this journey at different areas. I have read the equities threads 1 and 2 on elitetrader by Spyder. I was wondering if there are any equities guys here or anywhere else right now whom I can learn along side with. I was ready to start the chartscripts with wealthlab and found that it costs $800 dollars now. Is there another solution during the learning period as I am sim? Also, I live in Tucson, Arizona so it would absolutely be fantastic if anyone here is from these parts and still interested in trading the method at the beginner level. I know that for me the curriculum must be taken as it started out, at the lowest level to earn while you learn. I have obtained videos from Ezzy for many of the camtasias done in Tucson, Arizona so it appears I am good on the resources. Just looking for updates on what the equities guys are currently doing.
