  2. Oh yes, Forgot that, Agree with Keymoo compleately!
  3. When I was starting out, for the reason's you list, I opened an account with an ECN... I found them to be no better or worse than the Market Makers I use now. ECNs do charge commission, which is why I stopped using them. I have never traded more than 5 standard lots at a time, so I never had a "Fill" problem with either. You will experience "Re Quote" issues with just about any broker using MT4. Sorry, no experience with Tradency.

  6. It's a part of a discretionary trading methodology I use. There are other things to take into consideration, but the "Monicaradar" ( I named it after the girl who programed it ), measures the Time, and Distance, that price has been away from the 800 SMA.
  7. Six Days left if anyone wants to sign up for the June Contest!

  10. Yes... I am part Sicilian.
  11. Ok, this is a dish that originated on the Island of Corsica. It works best on a hot, sunny day. 3 cups of Basil. just the leaves, shredded or sliced lenthwise. 4 Large Tomatoes, chopped. 1 pound Brie Cheese, rind removed. 1 cup Olive Oil ( I prefer Sicilian unfiltered Extra Virgin ). 6 Cloves Garlic. Finely minced. 1 LB Lingine, the fresher the better. In a large bowl add the oil and the Garlic. Remember, only the pata is going to be cooked in the conventional sense, so you want to get that Garlic marinating as soon as possible. Shred your Basil or slice lenthwise. As little stem as possible. Add this to the bowl. Chop the Tomatoes, a little larger than cube size. Add this to the bowl. Next, remove the rind from the cheese and pull it off in cube size chunks. Add this to the bowl. Salt and pepper to taste. Give the contents a mixing and place in direct sunlight for 3 hours or so. Cover the bowl with a kitchen or dish towel. Prepare the pasta just prior to serving. Add the steaming pasta to the mixture in the bowl, toss well and serve. Bon Appetit !

  14. Nial, Very well put. One of the hardest obstacles for me to overcome was my tendency not to "Let My Profits Run". In the first year of my trading I had become conditioned to lose. Even after my analysis became better, it still required a conscious effort to let my trades run to their full potential. Now, several years later, I am able to add ( scale in ) to my positions as my successful trades play out.
  15. I'm getting hungary! My recipe is about the same as yours... but, I do add a few tablespoons of Butter ( depending on how portions I am making ). I don't have the time at the moment, but by this time tomorrow I will post the recipe for a Corsican Dish made with Basil, Tomatoes, and Brie Cheese. The mixture is set on the window ( or outside ) to be cooked by the Sun, then served on steaming hot Pasta (I prefer linguine ).
  16. My mother-in-law fell down a wishing well, I was amazed, I never knew they worked.
  17. First off, welcome to Traderslaboratory ! A commercial Backtesting program I have been using for a number of years is called "Forextester". The simulated trading function works very similar to MT4, a popular Forex trading platform. It allows you to Backtest many pairs, most of the Majors and Crosses. The features are too many to list here, you can Google them.
  18. I grow about 5 Basil plants per season. I make an excellent Pesto, if I do say so myself.
