    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have resigned from the contest and I suppose I owe some type of explanation. In mid - late November my wife was in an accident at work. She was attempting to stop an altercation between patients. When the dust settled she had a broken Hip. On December 22nd she underwent a Total Hip Replacement. She is doing very well. Her recovery is progressing beyond our best expectations. Our lives are returning to normal. Needless to say Real Life comes first. I had 1 trade open on the contest which I closed today neg 40% plus. Didn't do any live trading at all. I should be back up to speed next month if anyone is interested.

    I would like this to be a thread where we post charts, look at charts, and talk about charts. Even answer questions about charts. I would like this to be a thread that is more than a 1 post per person. If possible I would like a person to take the thread for whatever time they need. Show your chart, talk about what indies you use and why. Any instrument. Forex, IBM,Gold Oil etc. Let us get inside your head, what do you see when you look at your chart. I knwo there are folks out there, having proclaimed in the past, that they would never share their winning system. Well if you don't want to share, it's probably better if we don't hear from you at all. I am putting it in the Beginners section so that hopefully someone might learn something and ask a question.

    LOL... I used the word Truth because I thought it would be eye catching. I could just as easily used " Ramblings of a Forex Junkie.

    Optiontimer explained that he forgot to set his S/L. I don't think he would have done that on his Live acct. That's also why we use the 20% DD rule.... try to keep folks from going too Gonzo.

    How do we define Rich? It would not be the same for someone living in Liechtenstien ( ranked #1 by the UN for 2011) as it would for some living in Somalia ( ranked #194 same survey).

    First truth. The trader must learn to take losses. If you as a trader are unwilling to take a loss you will eventually take the mother of all losses. If the trader is unwilling to take a loss he or she will be forever closing trades with tiny gains that will never overcome their losses.

    The purpose of this thread is to discuss the truth about trading. This will not be a thread about methods. I will not be discussing my methods. I want to discuss the true fundamentals of trading. The important things that are never discussed. I will be adding to this thread once or twice a week as I have time. I trade London and live on the east coast of the US so time is sometimes tough for me.
