    Niko, I like what you say about a plan.It's a very simple fact that is often overlooked. The typical trader does not look upon his trading as a business.As a result he approaches the market without a plan It seems to come with the territory like losing an acct to pay your dues. ( and I am not calling the kettle black here, I have lost the obligatory acct). But in just about any other field a sloppy attitude towards one's profession will quick be corrected.

    Hi Sirduba Welcome to Traderslaboratory ! Read as many threads as you can on this Forum.Not the BS threads, the ones with the meat. Another good site is Forex Trading Online: Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading | Currency Trading .... even if you do'nt plan on just trading forex. It really breaks things down and assumes you know nothing. Obtain several DEMO accts that have the vehicle you wish to trade. Learn their funtionality inside and out. Market orders, entry orders, stops take profit, OCO, etc. And don't be afraid to ask questions.

I was watching them this morning during NFP. My MT4 frooze up, these remained fast. P.S crap. I just realized I spelled Ramblings wrong.

    I 'm getting short set ups on multiple TFs for GBP/JPY... Have n't put my toe in the water yet. Could tomorrow's NFP be the igniter?

    Would you know when a "Statement" or "minute's"will be issued for the reasons there was no change, change, etc. Sometimes the board sentiment can be a bigger mover than a No Change announcement. .

    I may be reading too fast and missed this addition to the answer. After the indicators have been added to the proper folders etc, MT4 must be shut down ( if it is running) and restarted.

    Hi Greenhorn! Welcome to Traderslaboratory. First off there is no time limit on learning. And, I would keep the name Greenhorn. In the future when you are a wildly successful trader, and you head is big and you are full of yourself you will look at the name and remind yourself where you started.

    Hi Ingot, looking forward to a GREAT thread! I voted in post #1 and just wanted to qualify my vote. Successful - I am a self supporting trader: The qualification ? I am 62 years old, no kids at home. No mortgage on home, no mortgage on small investment property, moderate passive stream of income, wife still works and has a great job.. Unless I am offered 0% interest, we pay cash. I HATE paying interest. Don't drink, don't smoke, don't use drugs. We like to travel, and I have a few motorcycles. In other words we don't have a big nut.

    This current contest is a 2 month contest and runs thru the end of March. How does everyone feel so far about the 2 month contests? Like them? or should we go back to the 1 month version?

    That's funny, I was explaining fib retracements to someone the other day. I told them that 50% was not really a fib number, but price has to pass thru it anyway to get to 61.8

Hi XXXX Hope all is well with you and XXXX and the kids. Take a look at yesterday's daily Candle on G/U..... looks very nice but I am little reticent about buying sterling. Sooo.... I am buying a small piece of A/U, just got in @ 10298. s/l 9995 figure I'll just hold for about 10550 ( it is positive roll). ((barely)). If it moves faster than I expect, who knows, last July it was at 11084. Chris
