My acquaintance said that he uses PT multistation's PTL strategy builder with its optimization, back testing and debugging tools (supports EasyLanguage, C#, VB.NET, etc). Anyone know how it compares to other automated strategy builders, and in particular back-testing tool?

Anyone know much about this, apparently new but dubious practice (I was just reading about investigation into Saxo Bank)? Seems the issue is with where the borderline actually lies on what is legal/illegal?

You might want to take a free spin for ever on PT multistation with its PTL builder IDE... Pro Trader multistation platform is completely free unless you want to subscribe to their (PFSoft's) multi-vendor connection or autotrading functionality...

DEFINITION OF SUCCESSFUL??? Can anyone sum up what they think difference between a successful (profitable) and unsuccessful trader is in a few words? I mean not what skills they require, but what is the definition of "successful"?

ProTrader .NET Station / PT multistation trading terminal shows an extra little bar chart for the volume, at the bottom of the chart beneath every candle, which I find convenient, and appears pretty standard. But more interestingly is that this terminal also shows a volume graph updating in real-time in the volume column of the watchlist for each instrument, stock, etc. - and you can easily sort that column.

Wonder what people think the most interesting trading terminal for kids is? And the best for kids learning to be traders? I'm using PT multistation at the moment, which is pretty graphical, colorful, and was pretty intuitive to learn for me...!

Yeah, can imagine too, nice for kids with all the moving colors and shapes on charts and all... PS. That reminds me of (have you heard?) the joke about the Policeman following in his father's footsteps? - his father was a thief!

PTL Builder looks interesting for MQL4 and EasyLanguage back-testing, but I would be interested in hearing about alternative products...
