  1. Hi I came across a site called swapnexchange.com and was wondering if anyone here has heard about it. There is a section where you can swap anything for forex trading systems. Not sure why or who would do that, but there seems to be only one type of system on the site. Anyone with experience?
  2. Hi After having been in the webinars and (some having to review after the actual webinar due to work requirements). I really was blown away at the content and the philosophy and approach that Rande takes to the markets. Certain areas were a bit fuzzy for me (which I think was largely due to me being in the time zone that I am in). I will definitely use the practices and I think it will help any trader to focus and to bring the best out of them. The only negative was that the webinars were all at 11:30pm on my side. It made it a bit difficult to stay focused and alert, but the recordings solved that. For where we find ourselves in time, this is the best approach one could take to the markets, because markets are alive and they change as we change. I would recommend that all traders make an effort to sit through the webinars. In terms of world view, I had to learn a few new things, but none that made me feel uncomfortable, but it is a bit "off the beaten path". But overall a really great bunch of sessions
  3. I was definitely impacted by the first webinar. I realised that I have a terrible fear of loss, and more often than I should be tend to sit on the side lines watching the trades go in the direction I looked at. Busy practicing my breathing and going to my safe place will take time I think, but all in all a good first class
  4. Personally I think the only people making money with forex robots, are the ones who sell them. But I know from chatting to others that according to their experiences Forex Megadroid has done well for them. Depends on the broker you use, I think one is finfx. But I don't really trust robots as unless I know what the robot is looking for when trading. And since no one offers that from these robots, I would stay away from them all. Rather trade manually then at least we have ourselves to blame for losing anything....
  5. I have a live one with oanda, so I guess a demo should not be too difficult. But who else is doing this and what balance are we starting with?
  6. trainingtraders.com These guys teach institutional traders. But do you plan on trading on your own or do you want to trade for a fund of sorts? I would not take a course that only teaches you the JSE. You need to learn something that applies to most or all markets. I think its a bit narrow minded to just teach one market (to make money all you need is one but to imply that its so difficult to trade one market that you need all that training is not correct). I am also in south africa and there are plenty of other courses around. There is tradingpoint.co.za also many courses on the net which are good, that teach you how to trade which applies to all markets.
  7. Hi I trade forex. If you in the states then \Forex & Futures International are good brokers they work through pfgbest. They have multiple platforms. If you want to trade with more leverage (not really advisable) then there are quite a few brokers that will allow us traders to trade with them. You would be able to trade in 10c moves on mini accounts which will give you lots of room to "make mistakes". Metatrader accounts have no extra costs also which is a plus, but they dont give volume (minus) Anyway all the best to learning to trade
  8. Hi trainingtraders with Mike Bagdady is a good but expensive one. I think its about 5500GBP but if you do their free online workshops then the normally do a discount. Its about price behaviour and is not market specific. Really good course if that is what you willing to spend
  9. Hi I am not sure if there are many trading forex here, but I came across a platform called Tradevec. Its really good and comparable to Tradestation. There are some charts that really I have never even seen in my life. Range charting and renko bars are all in there. From what I understand they are also working on an autostrategy process (like or better than tradestation) within the platform. NO MORE CODING necessary. Its not that expensive either, if you go through fxfts.com then you even wont have to pay the monthly installments. Honestly it really blows platforms like metatrader out of the water. That said, I know they work through PFGBEST and I suppose you would have to see this to believe it. And the feed that these brokers have really low spreads and so forth. Leverage is 50:1 so not really geared towards 100$accounts, but it does give an edge to the trader and the service is really excellent
  10. Hi I purchased the system from Ryan Watts. Its a good system but you need some time aside to do the "homework" Ryan is pretty quick to respond and once you purchase you get access to a chat room. Once you pay the price for the system thats it. Yo will have lifetime access. Also you are part of the group forever. That said, if you are serious about trading the eminis then its a good system to learn and alot of people will help you. I think I paid around 65$ for the scalping strategy.
  11. On the other hand a very simple solution is to run the platform on a server like commercialnetworkservices.com I think they about 30$ a month and you can access that from anywhere.
  12. Hi I am from South Africa, so I am not sure if this applies. But I pretty much do the same thing. I have a desktop with broadband Adsl at home and run a laptop with a dongle when not at home. In our case here the dongle does get faster speeds sometimes, but is not as stable a connection as the line at home. Depends on what you are doing. Here our wireless networks are prone to dropping connection. Its a 3G network so it connects differently and gives priority to whomever is connected first. What I usually do is I run teamviewer on the laptop and control the desktop. Don't know if this helps. I still prefer hardlines over wireless though
