  1. You should ask at the TS forum, if you are a registered user of Tradestation. They should be able to address this apparent issue for you.
  2. And doesn't TL update its mods (part-time or otherwise) as to what's going on?

Apparently the term piker has some folks upset. Small account is all I meant. But since words have meanings, guess I'll have to eat crow on this one... Anyway, my jist of my comment was about the high commissions that participants are paying, not their level of skill or what have you....so back to the race for now.

Perhaps, but as long as they're accurate is all traders should really care about. Have you noticed one other thing about these statements? It gives you an insight into what pikers really pay for commissions.... Lowest rate I've seen posted here so far is $4.40 r/t (all-in) for the ES (e-mini S&P). Highest was $7.00 r/t (all-in) for the 6E (Euro).
  5. Exactly. I can only hope Sierra Charts doesn't follow suit, and sticks to its stated policy of "no phantom bars" in its Range bar setup. Anyone with other vendor setups of Range and Momentum bars, like Tradestation, for example, please feel free to post your vendors' specs for comparison.
  6. Keep in mind a lot of people are simply jealous or just plain pissed off that they aren't making $3 million / yr like Carter, Senters and the rest of the TTM folks using those rebranded public domain indicators. It's still a free market capitalist society (for the moment), so I say, more power to them.

Just a tip to those of you posting actual account statements... Unless you know how to redact them appropriately, please don't expose your details to the world. Enoch, you might want to take a second look at your recent 4/27 statement above, as I didn't have to do anything special to reveal your data in that .pdf file
  8. Try http://tradethenews.com or RANsquawk - Real-time Analysis & News Ltd
  9. And....? If I didn't know any better I'd swear this is some sort of spammer at work.
  10. Here's my comment... Stock Gumshoe Forum - ETF TREND TRADING COURSE Try using Google first and do your Spams elsewhere.
  11. Yes, and as I've made a point to explain... THERE IS NO INDUSTRY STANDARD on these bars yet. But as soon as a consensus emerges among various vendors and their implementation, then it'll make sense. For example, Tradestation now has them too. Since I don't use TS anymore, I don't have access to their forums to check it out, but anyone who does could probably post how TS does it as well. Since OEC is a secondary charting source for me anyway, this is all a tempest in a teapot. As long as it works for you that's all that really matters in the long run.
  12. When OEC says that their bars "have no gaps", this means that phantom bars are used to fill in the missing information. You can't have it any other way, especially in a fast moving market, like CL every Wed at 10:30a et, or NG every Thurs at the same time. Or like today's Fed announcement at 2:15p et Unfortunately, since momentum and range bars are relatively new (in the world of technical analysis) there really isn't a consensus yet as to what the difference between these bars actually is. IMHO, Range bars have no phantom bars added, while Momemtum bars do. This means that range bars charts may have gaps in periods of high-volatility, while Momentum bars should not, since "phantom bars" are used in between gaps. So, if what was posted is a true bill as to what OEC is planning on deploying, you are getting Momentum bars in either case since "virtual bars" are used during gaps. True range bars (such as those found in Sierra Chart, for example) don't have these artifacts added to the mix at all. No fake-ass bars thrown in, just for the hell of it.
  13. Has anyone observed this with any of the range/momentum bars in OEC?
  14. I guess you could always go to the Sierra Chart support board and ask them directly. I'm sure they would help you resolve your issue over there.
  15. sbatrader, read the posts on VWAP in this forum, as it explains it in detail for you (but there is a lot to read as well)
  16. Enjoy the Kool-Aid, Randy
  17. :did I say that?: And here's why: Leave it to the bucket shops to confirm my opinion...
  18. Must be using the Russian Orthodox calendar....seems to be a forex guy working for some firm called Broco.
  19. 5 cent stop loss in Crude? Yeah, that's a real tight scalp you got going there. Definitely a hall of famer, far as I'm concerned. If you can bat.400 in the markets, consistently, and manage your losses, effectively, you should be alright in the long run.
  20. Yes, the mirror is a wonderful tool of self-discovery, isn't it.
  21. Simple. As one famous American politician said in the 1980's regarding Soviet Russia... "Trust, but Verify." I trust you will understand.
  22. I doubt it. He still hasn't addressed whether or not he could have his software output the data records into a format easily imported into Excel. Since its his website and software, I should think he would be able to take care of this basic requirement as well. Quite perfunctory for a software developer like Oleg, I should think.
  23. No need to get testy and run off like a little girl because your feelings got hurt. With a little work you can program this yourself in platforms such as Sierra Charts, and save yourself some money.
