Thanks Statsign - That's very generous of you.. It shocks me that I get this answer from a forum user in less than 1 hour and BarChart still hasn't responded to my same request now for over 1 week... But what you sent me seems to be going in the right direction. I downloaded the .xla from BarChart.com but I can't see how to connect it. I understand that .xla files are extensions that enable certain functionality (in this case the data feed). But when I open a new spreadsheet, I don't see in the "data" tab of Excel, either in "From other sources" or "Existing Connections" where to add this next .xla extension. What am I doing wrong? James

Judge: 1. How did you get your data into excel. I have tried to use the wizard Data Connection in MS Excel 2007 but I can't connect to my 3rd party provider, BarChart. Any ideas? 2. Sharing a simple template would be appreciated. James

Hey Silvermachine - great work you've done so far. Are you still working on this? I am trying to do something similar. I want to connect by dataprovider source (BarChart) to Excel and start doing some basic coding. Can you tell me how to get the data source connected to excel? I have tried using the data connection wizard, but it's not working. Do you have a basic spreadsheet already made that I can build off of and just change my data provider source? James

Can anyone explain with detail how to to do this? I want to load real time data into a spreadsheet, and then add some VBA coding. First, things first, though how do I get the code in Excel. I tried using the wizard data connection but it doesn't seem to take my user name and password that BarChart gave me. Thanks, James

Thanks for your work on this chart - Bid Vs Ask Volume - SierraCharts.
It is what I think I have been looking for the last 3 months.
Questions:
1. On the per minute chart, describe what each line stands for, particularly the blue line. I refer to your graphic image posted here at TL.
2. I think a variation of this chart would be helpful. I would like to see total volume of bid, total volume of ask and total volume of bid and ask in the bar form on a per minute basis.
Imagine, 1000 shares at the ask (in green) and 10,000 shares at the bid (in red). The chart would show total volume at 11,000 shares (say in blue - like a background), followed by 10,000 shares (in red), followed by the small number of 1000 shares in green for the ask. This would clearly show sellers were more predominant than buyers.
3. Is the code available (i.e. open) to be able to play with it myself once I upload the DLL files?

I was wondering if you have a TOS script to show time / sales data on a min basis. This is not tick data. I want to show time total number of shares sold (in red) vs. total number of shares purchased (in green).
Let me know if you have something in mind for TOS script.
