  1. here's another time-frame.. maybe what WS referred to? i dunno.. but seems like a possibility.
  2. there we go.. hope that helps. the gartley would have worked.. but, i would consider it triggered and completed. should have removed it i guess, for clarity.
  3. pretty nice ww in progress.. right at point 5
  4. hmm well, i would say that simply seeing both in the same pattern adds to the strength of the pattern. of course, i've no statistical log to support my logic. I've not seen that many actually.. maybe they occur frequently..?
  5. another gartley indicator i recently came across.. for TS easylanguage Gartley code posted by Tums (can't report on real time performance just yet)
  6. dang - rebooted that old machine, and there it was.. that gartley indicator is notorious for plotting at times, then not on another.. just kinda partial to those patterns where both overlap like that. o well - i was working all day anyways.
  7. i actually have this speed chart on another machine. (an old, old dell laptop.) anyways.. you'll see the similarities i think..
  8. a bit late maybe - sorry, but this ww has been there for a while. i expect most have viewed it.
  9. thx for your point of view ws.. always appreciated. price actually violated the 1-3 line (yesterday?).. anyway.. it quickly jumped 30-40pts or so. as i type, it's right back near the low. we'll see.
  10. weekly ES :thumbs up::thumbs up:
  11. cool observation OAC. i had actually seen the pattern, but on the 60 minute. funny, i never noticed it on tick / volume charts.. I should recheck maybe. the fib extensions.. requires a special tool (indicator) to draw? thanks for posting the chart
  12. thanks ws, that is a nice example. here's the 1 i have been watching for several days (see earlier screenshot). it looks like it has potential..and i have seen a few of these longer term patterns succeed, but we'll see. anyone have any thoughts on playing a longer term pattern such as this?
  13. wow i never woulda seen that 1 thanks waveslider
  14. same old longer term chart.. looks like a potential ww developing. and btw, my trendlines sometimes 'slide' a bit after opening and closing the workspace so bear with me if you notice they are off.
  15. mkp - that looks like a nice ww to me. the horizontal line from point 5 and also the entry ... interesting. i haven't seen that before
  16. thanks ws.. good points. here's a screen i found when i got home this evening. an oddity, at least in my experience. 2 gartleys - but 1 at the finish of the larger - and both appear to be completing at the same time. just thought it was interesting. and, to make it on topic - many (most?) times a gartley will have a ww as well.
  17. yup - of course it was well on the way when i posted it. i didn't notice it until after point 5.( but o well-J.O.B).) i suppose the question about 'dominant wave' is a proprietary deal huh? i have been seeing some succesful ww's on higher TF lately. what i have difficulty with is deciding on an entry point with the pattern. (esp with higher TFs) i suppose there are zillions of different methods. i need to figure out a simple approach. i always feel the urge to pick the extreme H/L.. i'll keep working on it.
  18. timing? the lines are just the standard background from the TS window settings.. if that is what you meant. otherwise - i haven't a clue
  19. i noticed this one when i was reviewing Friday's charts. longer term, but i like the looks of it... let me ask you guys, on the wolfewave.com site, the term 'dominant wave' is mentioned. would that be a longer term ww, maybe like this one?
  20. that's a powerful little screener. thx WS
  21. well - i was going to just paste the code here, but to my surprise, it was locked. but np, you may DL the file from here: ftp://ftp.tradestation.com/PUB/easylang/elsiela/ "ELSI9605" is the file name. the site contains .ela's, i think from the old omega research era..
  22. here's an indicator i found recently on the ftp.tradestation site. it plots triangles. while not true WWs, they can be similar..
  23. how about this one? i like it so - prolly a trap
